do i first have to stop paying the credit card companies and ruin my FICO score?

My father recieved a settlement agreement in the mail sometime last year indicating he owed arrow financial services money. The settlement was sent by Michael J. Scott and my father sent this document back signed. He agreed to make payments. He recently has not had the money to pay and missed the last four payments. I called Michael J. Scott law firm to settle this for my father and i was told that he is being charged an additional $800 on top of what he already owed due to late payment.

I just recieved a call from someone too. with a threatening tone. Told me to call this number 877-801-4914. To respond to charges and a claim and if I did not respond that I would be get a "failure to appear" in the County this claim/charges are in? He was also asking me my address and was calling me on my cell phone with my employer. What the heck is this?

So i'm looking for some advice on how to best proceed with these credits cards I have. Here's the story. Made some dumb decision at a young age and got myself into some Credit Card debt. Started opening numerous accounts and charging them up. I've since paid them all off, but here's the damage. I just got a voice message saying that the call is to inform me of a court order summons that is going to be brought to me at my house about a bad check fraud...they didn't leave their name, but I am thinking it is the so-called law company called Lombardo, Davis, and Goldman Firm. They have threatened me before with this.

I live in Louisiana, and I have several internet payday loans, 7 to be specific, that I'm hoping to get rid of or pay off. What would be my best course of action at this point? I am not in default of any of them, but some of them I'm not able to pay down the balances, and its eating up my paycheck. Any suggestions?? Thanks
