I just received a letter from National Credit Adjusters pertaining to a loan I had through Arrowhead back in 2009-they are just sending me a reply to my validation letter from June 2010-isn't there a time limit for them to reply?What should be my next step?

I believe I have paid off an old creidt card account, but it appears on my credit report. Where do I go to straighten out this matter?

I have been contacted by this company for little while now. I told them that i wanted them to send me some information showing the amount that i was told i owe.They would not send me anything at first i received a email from them a few months ago stating i owe over 700 dollars and i didn't hear from them again for 3 months then they called me today and left me a message. I told them that i would pay if i got the information i need but this company does not seem like they are very professional. I was hoping someone can give me some information on what i can do.

Does anyone have a debt counselor they can recommend in California? One that they had a good experience with?

I live in Oregon and have a handful of internet payday loans that are illegal in OR. Most have gone to "collections agencies", should I deal with the collection agency to pay off the principal that is left, or should I go back to the original payday lender. These are about 1.5 year old. Any help would be great!!!

Allied Interstate keeps calling me when I am not at home and leaves a message to call back, which I have 3 times now. I have good credit and owe no one. I have waited around 10 minutes each time and finally hang up. Is there another way to get rid of their annoying calls? Thanks Don

My bank account is currently in both mine and my husbands name. The bank garnishment is in my name only. Can my husband open an account in his name only with the same bank? What are the chances of them doing this?

Need some clarification here. I was under impression I would receive 1099c when the settlement was paid in full, thus I thought I would receive 1099c from Citibank in 2012 since I am making last payment end of this month. Over the weekend I received 1099c from Citibank for 6800+ which shows settlement date of 11/30/10. The 1099c is for 2010. Did I misunderstand? That is, 1099c is given for the year the settlement is effective? Getting ready to do my taxes and want to get this right. Thanks.

I'm attempting to reach a settlement with NCO Financial, my debt is over a year old, it's for $1434, from an old T-Mobile bill. I reached one person who says "the lowest we'll go is 75%, $1075" I told them I can not do that, and offered 30%, he said that he had it written in front of him that 75% is the lowest he could authorize, and tells me to call their collections department. Does anyone have any advice for how I should handle this when calling them?
