It took 3 years before the credit card settled my debt, I went through a debt solution company which I paid almost $9000.00 to have them do this. Now I received a 1099c can I claim the fees I paid to the debt company? and can you claim insolvency on your state taxes as well.

not only does the wfnnb/the original creditors name show up on my credit report but the original account shows as well making it two seperate account one Purchased by another lender and the other Account charged off. written off what do I do?

My husband and I are in the early stages of filing Chapter 7. Our attorney told us to file our 2010 tax returns and then to spend the refund as soon as possible. I was trying to remember what he said we could spend the money on. We were also told to keep all the receipts to present to the courts. In order to show what the return had been spent in full on. I have received a notice in the mail from Speedy Cash on the amount of the loan I took out over the internet. It says I have 30 days in which tto reply. I understood in the state of Louisiana they are not legal. What should I do now. They called my work and my boss was upset. I told them I recieved the letter in the mail and that it said I have 30 days in which to reply and that I would whitin the 30 days. They wanted my ss# but I would not give it to them.
