New PDL laws in TN

i heard recently from someone i know who works for check into cash that in June 2011 TN are inforcing laws regarding PDLs that you can only take out a loan with a company 3 times in one year. It doesnt make any difference to me but i was interested that TN is legislating regarding PDLs has anyone heard anything about it. I cant find anything but i hope its true i think our state needs to be tougher

student loan debt

I called GC services today concerning student loan rehabilitation. I was niave in the whole process. I gave all my information freely thinking that this was going to be resolved. In the beginning they let me know that I had the option of a deferral for one year and I said no I would rather start making payments. In the end I was not able to afford the payments offered and with the information I had given they already knew this. I was given one hour to figure it out and call back.

JDB has not responded to discovery...

At this point in the game I am feeling a bit more confident that I am going to emerge from this whole mess unscathed. I was sued by a junk debt buyer back in November on a defaulted credit card I held. After doing some intense research, some of which was aided by this site, I filed an anwser with the court. I was sent discovery days after that. I anwsered and sent back their discovery (which was basically a bunch of questions with them trying to have me make their case for them, which I didn't) and also sent them discovery of my own.

question

I have a pdl with loanpointusa and I have paid over the prinicipal amount of the loan. I saw a form posted on this thread that was a request to revoke the pdl from accessing your account and I should also close out my bank account or setup an ach revoke with my bank(deposit only). The question I have is that if I follow these steps what ramifications can come against from the lender. Also, I have 2 other loans not paid in full to the amount of the principal.

Soap Lady, garnishment question

Soap Lady,, I have private loans. 8 of them, (Wells fargo, loan to learn, citibank,) They have gone into default. I am being sued for wage garnishment. 25% of my salary. How many loans can sue me at a time? How long can each lender garnish my wages for? Seems like I read something like 10 years? Just wondering how bad this is....

We had a business we closed doors on but haven't officially disolved because we still have debt.We still file taxes on it bacause of the losses. We haven't pd on our loan for 2 years now as my husband was unemployed for a large time. Our account has already gone to another agency and they are biding their time to collect from us.They touch base with phone calls now and then to see if our situation has changed yet. My husband is laid off again now.
