I have a $1900 medical bill in collections because I missed two monthly payments with a local hospital (I was going through a rough patch and was out of work and money). I'm a college student with a part time job and the collection agency refuses to work with me on a payment plan and says the bill will be defaulted if it's not paid off by the end of February. Should I accept a 60% offer on a credit card that was capital one then sold to LVNV and is now being collected by Allied Interstate. I am unemployed so I do not have a lot. i called to offer them 25% and they said they would just call me next month. I have many other cards to settle with success on 6 so far. This is the first letter from Allied. Should I find a way to pay theis or will they offer something closer to what I can pay later?
