Hi, I had a dispute w/ a phone co. several years ago & refused to pay the $349 bill because I didn't feel I owed it. It has been sold several times and is now owned by Pinnacle Credit Services LLC, & farmed out to Vision Financial Services Corp(FN) for collection. I understand there is a new law that allows ca's to file by computer letting them file on very small cases. What % of probability do you think they would file a court case for $349.00? Even though a judge might rule against me I don't think a jury would. If I lost would I, also, have to pay court costs or other fees?

I have been getting calls from this so called collection agency for a supposen dept I owe a company I have never delt with. Each and everytime I try to get a word in edgewise regarding this the women or should I say *itch does not let me speak and hangs up on me. I have writted to Blair Wettlaufer at 1623 Millitary Road, unit 537, Niagra Falls, NY 14304 and spoke to an extreamly rude woman at 519 622 7100 and was told that is not her problem to pay up or else. I also spoke to a Richard Wadden at 888-246-3871 and he literally laughed and said just pay the money.

I heard there is a new way of filing small cases like this, enabling them to pursue said small cases. What do you think the chances are,of their sueing, under this new law or way? I aplied for a telphone line with century link. A new line because I do not have a phone jack in my current home. I never had a maintenance man show up or any line installed to my knowledge. I set up an appointment twice then gave up. It has been almost a year and now I am receiving a collection letter stating that Century Link has sent my file to a collection agency. How can I stop them from putting a 928 dollar bill on my credit report. I still do not have a land line phone at my residence or a jack on premises.

I sent sure advance the illegal lender letter a week ago and never received a reply. I am in ohio and overpaid by 50.00. Today I received a call from a collection agency representing them while at work. I told them not to call that I will only deal with them thru email as I already told them. She said that is not in her notes. I said then I am telling you now. She then said she would have to transfer me and I replied well then I will have to hang up on you, which I did. How do things change in dealing with them now that its already in collection? What should my next step be?

I have 2 loans through capital one for 2 different cars. November was extremely rough for me and I was nt able to make my payments, ($220 & $270). I tried to tell them ahead of time that i was not going to be able to pay and needed help but to no avail. Now I am a month behind, and their solution is to pay every two weeks instead of once amonth. But DUH! I already pay a payment every two weeks(which i tried to explain) because I have 2 loans..... I need help and am not sure what to do, I dont want to get further behind, but dont see any way to get caught up.

i have 7 payday loans that are illegal in the state of iowa . they are not registered with the state . do i need to pay them back when i already paid back more interest than the principle is worth on all them. can i or shold i demand the interest back

I'll make this a hypothetical question-- Citi Mortgage has a Summons to appear in court issued to a person who has a perfect payment history after only 3 months in arrears. It has to be sent certified mail and either handed to her or "nailed" to her door by the sheriff. She never received that Summons. Since she didn't--and couldn't because she didn't know about it--show up at the Hearing, they put her house up for auction and she was notified about it in late October by certified mail.
