I have a National Direct Student Loan, taken out in 1985, which is listed as Defaulted, Unresolved and transferred to Debt Collection Service, DOE. I have four Stafford Subsidized Student Loans, taken out in 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1985. These are listed as Defaulted, In Litigation in 1993 and Defaulted, Unresolved in 1995 and transferred to Debt Collection Service, DOE. Al least the last four, if not all, are in the hands of CA. They have been subject to federal tax offset and probably soon will be subject to wage garnishment although no action has been taken in that direction yet.

I have begun to get regular calls from this Takhar Group. They do not give any information about why they are calling they just state that they need me to return their call immediately that it is urgent that they get in contact with me. I used to have a Columbia house DVD account but it has been closed for some time, nearly a year. Recently, I started receiving the Columbia House mailouts at my new residential address but they have not shipped me any DVD's and I do not owe them any monies whatsoever. I have ignored their calls should I just continue to do so.

Yeah, I got the five or severn "official notices" from this company. They say that they have reviewed my credit report with one reporting agency - not all three and the amount they listed for my debts was completely wrong, and they offered me a chance to be "eligible" for a 50% reduction in what I owe. I was asked to call them immediately. Well they are just like the other hundreds of parasite companies that run teh same scam.

Is there any way out of my payday loan hell? I recieved 4 pdl with a self printed software. I recieved the money from the loans. Now it's time to start paing them. But one of the companies is telling me it was fraud. Also, that a report was filed with the police station. So I need to make sure I come into store and make payment. I live in Texas. I have 3 pdl.. ezmoney, Ace, Advance America and rent a center online. Any help I could get would be great.
