What documentation must the CA send to you for a debt to be properly validated? Do they have to send you a signed agreement, copies of a statement or bill, or can they simply just give you the account number?

I am currently up to date with my credit cards. I have sold every thing I can to stay up to date. I have run out of things to sell and am living with friends because I am so far in over my head. I have landed a job of course not making more than min wage I can't afford to even help pay the bills here. every thing I read says to settle your debt. I have no idea how to do that. do you need large sums of money to settle? and how do you settle? do you let them contact you or do you contact them first? what happens when I dont make the payment this month?

Hi, i wrote a huge post but doesnt look like it got posted. Question.... Can a collection/law agency come after me if the actual payday loan is not licensed in the state of florida but the collection agency that says they bought the loan over 2 years ago is licesned?? they say they have a 2 year old payday loan where our check bounced and we never paid. He gave us less then 24 hours to pay it plus $1000 of finance fees or he will have to "download"us into the system for charges of fraud, falsifying documents and other check stuff.

Hello again just wanted everyone to be aware that not only are the heavy think accent men calling but now they have woman too. Just got a call from some woman couldn't understand her name but said I had made payment arrangements with Officer David Hunt and never paid. Of course not but this was over 2 months ago and she threatended the same thing court cost arrest warrant and so on. I told her if she called my work phone again I was filing charges on her. Needless to say this upset her so she started going off and as always wished me GOOD LUCK after that I hung up on her.

In order to close your bank account to stop pdls from withdrawing money do you have to tell the bank why? If so, what would the reason be? Payday is this friday, is there a way to stop them this week or is it too late?

I have one payday loan, that I had set up to pay back as planned, and then it was like everything that could happen went wrong. I got severely sick, went to the hospital, car broke down, a/c went out on house.... you get the picture. So the payment was returned and I had to stop all further ones as due to all of this, I ended up incredibly behind on my other bills. After having a rather nasty conversation with a rep for 1800899cash they threatened to call my employer telling them what I had done, then they also threatened to sue me and so forth.

Please, please help me. I, too. have been receiving phone calls here at work and at home saying that I have been investigated and that here is a file on me. They threatened to tell the people on my job and have someone put me in jail. They always have a thick accent. I've had this problem before with them. They know the last four digits of my SS# and I'm just terrified. I recognize the number when they call, so I don't answer or call back. Please what should I do.
