I have four payday loans, but only know the names of 2 of them, first bank of delaware and cred ed. Is there a way i can find out what the other two are so I can check if they are legal?
Thank you so much.
This company has been repeatedly calling me, when I answered today & tried to talk to them I was told I was lying to them & a crazy person. That the county would be coming out today to take care of it. Not one time did I get an answer about what the debt was from. I was hung up on after being called names. When calling back an equally rude woman answered & told me if I called them agian I would be charged with phone harrasment. Really!! Then about 5 min later they called me agian, left a voice msg about my social security # wanting me to call back in 24 hrs or they would have me arrested.
We have settled a couple accounts but I have never dealt with CA's and attorneys so I need need help and advice!
We have a FIA acct that got charged off (we just didn't have the funds at the time to settle). FIA let us know that it would go to a CA or an attorney. A week or so later they did tell us it went to a CA-can't remember the name, my husband spoke to them but I want to say CRC or something. Anyway, an attorneys office called today (Kam Bece's office) and said the CA hired them to settle the account.
1. Is it typical for a CA to hire an attorney?
I just read that MN has a pay day loan maximum amount of $350. I have a loan with them for $800, plus an exorbinate amount of interest. Did I do something illegal?
Thanks for your help!

I disputed a settled Amex account because they still showed a balance even after it was settled, and guess what? They have agreed to (and in fact have done so) delete the account entirely.
Well, I still have 7 settled ones on my report, but I guess it can't hurt. Just goes to show that if you dispute, sometimes they delete. I mean there is no record on my cr's that I ever even had the account.
I found myself in a hard spot a few months ago and I wad going to get a payday loan I filled out their application and
spoke with a person from the office after seeing their fees and seeing how the repayment worked I decided not to take the loan. I never received anything from them now they are calling and telling me I owe them money. Can they do that? Do they have a leg to stand on?
This has been a very frustrating and on-going issue between Direct Loans Consolidation and ACS, Inc. I have only one subsidized stafford loan that is both current and in repayment with ACS. Direct Loans sent the payment to ACS on June 14th and its now August 6th. I had Direct Loans forward the problem on to their research team on July 14th to find out what the issue is and why ACS has not processed the payment. Here is what I know thus far: My loan is an FFELP loan serviced by ACS and Direct Loans sent the payment to ACS-Dept. of Ed.
i have just moved to pa, and need a quick loan.....i saw some ads online, but do not know if they are legal in the state of pa....can you help me. thanks
As you can see by all my posts I have a lot of money problems....But I've had my credit card thru capital one since March '07 starting out my credit limit was 500 and my APR was 14.99% after about 4 months I was 2 days late on my payment due to mail being delivered late and they jacked up my APR to 24.99% and chaged 130 to my account putting me over my limit.. I called and fought with them on the charging me 130 for being 2 days late but I lost. The following month I paid 300 to get my card down and after making 6 payments on time my credit limit went to $750.
OK, I have been doing good with my settlements and have read everything about how to negotiate that.
But I don't know about collections and one went to third party.
They keep saying that they have to take my offer back to the client (in this case citi) and I found out that is not true since citi sold it to them. Citi told me this so I know it is true.
Can I call them on this tactic of lying?
