they took me for $1700 and offered me one settlement..it was for the same amount i owed! wish i had my money back

REcently my sister tried to finance a home that she inherited from my deceased mother. During the closing of her estate the house passed thru all of her rightful heirs (children) whereby we each conveyed our interest in the house to that sister. I guess ehrn that happen Palisades put a judgement against the house which cause her to have to paid a debt that has nothing to do with the house. The debt is mines its old and I need to know what I can do to have the judgement lifted off my sister's house and placed on just me.

Can anyone tell me about wage garnishments in Wisconsin. My employer received one from a payday loan company that I defaulted on and it did not go thru the courts and doesn't look real to me. Can someone tell me the process for garnishing someones wages. I am trying to work with these companies myself but it's not easy.

I live in nj and i have 5 payday loans and I need to know what to do next. i have been reading the forums and so far I have closed my bank account I have faxed all the lenders. I have only heard from 3 of them so far (calls from eastside lenders and united cash loans, and an email from money to advance) they only left me a message to call about my account.

I've been reading that all these Credit Repair Shops that are advertising in my area just bombard the Credit Reporting Agencies with disputes, and that is their whole game. They just keep disputing the marks until someone misses the 30 day deadline or something, then they Agency has to remove it from the report. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this? And is this how it really works? I could probably do this myself, but I'm afraid that continuing to dispute negative marks (which I know to be correct) will cause the agency to "red flag" me or something.

I have 2 internet PDL's, like many I had no idea that they were based out of the country at the time.. so anyway, I have only made a couple of payments, found this site and the forum.. ( Thank God) !!

If you pay off an account on your credit report that is in collection. Does it help your credit score at all?

I got a loan from zip19 and regret it. They have turned out to be the biggest scammers. I got a loan from them using my co-workers cell phone. I thought this would be like using western union or ace. I went through the whole process on my co-workers phone and so I did not read a lot of the fine print. I got the loan from them and was expecting them to take the full amount out on the date agreed. When payday came they took out $76 dollars. I was stoked thinking they were taking the loan amount out little by little.

Has anyone ever heard of Advanta working with you to recind negative credit reporting in return for full settlement on an $8,800 amount paid in full ? any advice on this matter? Thanks.

In our phone conversation today, you requested written confirmation of your agreement to settle the above account.
