My husband had a credit card. Went to collection. My husband owe the credit card company $558. The collector is charging my husband interest on the credit card. As of today, he owes $709. Is that right? Can the collection company do this?

I have been in a 5 year debt consolidation program for the last two years but have recently run into more financial trouble. As a result I can no longer afford the payments through my current plan. My program does not allow changes and suggests I look into bankrupcy but I would rather see if there are other options available. A debt settlement programs sounds great and I would prefer it to bankruptcy but I have no knowledge of how it works and how to find someone reputable who can help. Any suggestions? Thank you.

This company is horrible. They started me off at 4% interest rate than racked me up to 30+ percent. With out telling me. I am stuck with interest rate and cannot break this debt with them.

I live in Rocky Mount, NC, and I recieved a court summons with CACH, LLC being the plantiff. Now first of all I have never even heard of this company nor have I ever recieved any previous notices from this company informing me that I owed them for a debt. No where on the judgement papers I recevied at my front door from the sheriff does it state how much I owe them it only states that they have entered a judgement against me and that I must fill out the attached exempt property forms and return within 20 days. Please Help me I do not know what to do.

I am one of the ones that did settle with asset. They offered me a good deal and i took it. They have yet to send me a letter saying that i paid my debt, or reporting it settled to the credit reporting agency. I settled at the end of april , and so far i have gotten nothing. I have called them several times and the tell me that they requested a letter again and i have nothing to worry about. I think i may have made a mistake. The debt was mine and it was not passed SOL. anyone have any advice ?
