What happens when you get a letter from a lawyer saying that they need to work out something when you are on a debt settlement plan.

I live in New Mexico, and took out quite a few internet payday loans to try to get through a tight financial situation. Now with interest, I am in over my head! I have been advised to close my checking account. What should I do???? Please help!

I went to court and sued a collection agency and the judge stated that the agency does not have enough evidence of me oweing them money and that they are requried to send me a letter stating the account is close. when I got the letter from court it stated that the collection agency owe me $240. Original that's what I put on the form that I am sueing them for but I just wnated their attention and wanted the record deleted from my credit report.

an internet payday loan company is claiming i received a loan in sept 2009 and I never paid it back. I never received the loan, and there are no bank withdrawls or attempts from this company, but they are demanding I pay $524.87, and they will not send me proof of the transaction.

I am still trying to find out information on how to handle these installment loans. I am in Ohio. FBD is out of Delaware Bank and Elastic is Urban Trust Bank. I took a loan for $600 and owe $1200 from FBD (paid $600 already) and have an installment loan from Elastic for $400 and paid $300. Help.

These questions concern $8000 in debt to Chase, a credit card company. 1) What are their chances of collecting US debt after the debtor moves to a European country?

iI have 3 reposessions and one has legeal action pending if i dont agree to a payment optio (Recieved summons las week). Can i reach an agreement amount on all 3 and consolidate this into one payment? I dont want to file bankruptcy.

MY girlfriend and I opened a bank account in colorado and I ended up owing them over $600. A collection agency bought this debt and I got served w/ a summons to go to court. I was worried about showing up in court and so I never went and then I saw that I got a default judgment w/o trial A few weeks later I got sered some more papers that asked what I own and if I have any bank accounts things like that. I answered honestly saying that I dont own anything and I'm a student and dont go to work. I am a little terrified that I could get an arrest warrant now?

i have a school loan from citi bank since it is a private they told me I can not forbear the loan or defer it any longer. I have been out of school for a year, does anyone have an advice on what to do ? it will me much appreciated

they call me everymorning at a few minutes after 8AM they dont say anything. their phone number is unpublished (i cant get caller id). i just keep on saying WHAT COMPANY ARE YOU? finally today, after the 10th phone call, they tell me that they are MCm, BUT THEY wont tell me what the call is about. i called the phone comany and i wasnt to press aggravated harrassment charges on them. do i have recvourse ? i told them to send whatever the issue was to me in writing. they just rather harrrass me. i am disabled and the phone calls are harassing and they do not even provide me info when i ask.
