Just received a voice mail message at work stating " This is Ruth Wells and I'm calling to speak to the manager to verify the company protocol for presenting a formal claim. (Name) has charges and claims against her and she has one opportunity to settle this matter. She advised to call 855-621-7935 and gave a claim number. Then (name) you have been officially notified. Call came from a VoIP number. Any ideas who this number belongs to?

I'm looking for advice. I took out a $700 loan with American Web Loan and I've paid back $2951.50. They say that I still owe $675.00. I sent them an email revoking ACH withdrawal/wage assignment and I've closed my bank account. I've also submitted a complaint to the IL Attorney General as AWL is unlicensed in IL. AWL continues to call and email saying that I need to call them today to discuss a settlement. Should I even bother at this point? Thank you very much for any help that you can offer.

None of the lenders are ready to give me a loan in Oxford (Alabama). I don't understand the reason. Why are they not ready to give me a loan?

Good afternoon, I to got a loan from mobileloans and Great Plains. I had no idea they both charged such high interest rates. I got a $1000 loan from both and just noticed I'm paying nearly $3500 on both for the next year. They also take money out of my account every 2 weeks and with me getting laid off, I got behind. Mobileloans was more willing in giving me time to pay but Great Plains started calling everyday and would not leave a voicemail. I finally answered one day and the guy I talked to was real nervous. The guy I talked to before that didn't have any idea what he was doing.

A debt collector from Phenix city was calling my mother every other day. My mother is 85 years old. Moreover, she lives alone. She was simply getting irritated with the calls. She told the debt collectors to not call her again in future. The debt collectors didn't call her for a month. However, they have started calling her yet again. My mother is totally frustrated. What can she do now? She is losing her sleep.
