Hello All, First time posting but I studied this site a year or so ago and it helped me settle 2 of my own credit cards and 2 of my wife's credit cards. I'm happy to say I'm finally free of most all my debt (I have one small Lowe's Credit Card $200 on it, Car Loan, Mortgage, and a student Loan-thats it).Anyways, in late 2008 I entered into a settlement with Citi for $3800 on an $8000+ balance. I made several payments including a large first payment of $800, followed by $275 monthly payments.

Has anyone heard of Professional Debt Mediation? My "My Cash Now" account has been turned over to them.

I have 4 PDL's (TN) I am tring to pay now. 2 are with banks (must pay back-took bankruptcy in 2006-do not want to undo the last 4 years) 1 is small (I can eventually pay them off) But I have one with PayDay1One that I must default on. There is no way with recent developments that I can pay them off. If we went private I would be glad to go into the reason/reasons in detail. What are the repercussions? Will I have to go to Court? Will I be served a summons? Will it affect my Credit Report? I have already closed and reopened a new bank account.

Recently, I've had the displeasure of dealing with Pentagroup Financial over an old Capital One debt. Even after I sent a VC letter in to these guys with a request that they don't call they've -- off-and-on -- insisted on calling me, but of course they don't leave a message, nor are they readily willing to identify themselves. Yet, a while back I was informed they had "closed my account" after I hit them with a C&D over the phone calls. Fast forward to this morning where I'm getting another call from the same Houston area code.

Can you change Credit Counseling companies. I am currently in a DMP with one company but wouldlike to change to another one. Can that be done?

Hello All, Well i'm keeping my fingers crossed, at this point i'm greatful to be receiving anything. With congress holding up unemployment extentions any amount would be helpful. I am still waiting on my check, hope it comes before July 4th weekend.

Ok, yesterday i received a call from first irs, they called my job and left a message for me to call back. Of course, they didnt leave a number to call them back at. Then they attempted to call my cell phone and didnt leave a number. I returned the call. I spoke to a man named mike who was harrassing me. He was saying that i had a loan out back in 2009 and that my bank sent them something re: Nsf fees and that it was a felony and it is a criminal action that is going to be taken against me and it will effect my drivers lic and etc.
