When it says a reported item (negative) should fall off....say 6/10, and in July it has not. Should you contact the Credit Report Bureaus and ask that it be removed?
Is there one Credit Report company better then the other. Should you pay extra for the day to day monitoring? And should you pay extra for your Credit Report score? Also if it's not necessary for the day to day monitoring, how often should you purchase your report? I took Bankruptcy 3 years ago and I am starting to notice some good things happening. For instance, I got approved for a Walmart card. I AM NOT filling out application after application btw.
I have been served a summons from a law firm representing GEMB. I had opened a PayPal Credit revolving account which I defaulted on because of loss of employment/medical reasons. Prior to the Summons, they had not been willing to accept a payment plan I could even begin to afford. Total debt according to GEMB $1911. Credit line was $1500 of which approx $1200 was principal.
So, I need to answer so they don't apply for a summary judgement against me.
At the bottom of the complaint attached to the summons it states "this communication is from a debt collector.
both the house and car are exempt and i will keep paying on them to keep them. but i've seen some people on here saying different things about reaffirming both, not reaffirming either, not getting the house reaffirmed and they are getting screwed cause the payments weren't applied and so forth.
what should i be looking to do and/or ask my attorney to make sure there are no blips on the radar for the house and car?

I'm going ahead with the settlement I posted about here: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73070
It's a two-pay, 60% settlement on a charged-off capital one cc.
I'm satisfied with it, just to get it over with, but I'm afraid they'll try to resell the balance to another JDB, and/or withdraw additional funds from my account. I did set up a separate checking account just for this purpose that won't have any other funds in it.
Here's the agreement they faxed. Are all my bases covered?
