How Will debt consolidation or settlement affect credit score?

Hi I have been reading this blog and it is very insightful. Can someone please please please help and tell me how to deal with the pdls myself. I had called PDL assistance but I am not sure. I live in VA and I have one store front and four internet. What steps can I take to solve this on my own. I sinking in this vicious cycle and want so desperately to get out. Would it be best to handle it on my own or go with PDL Assistance. Feedback uis graciously appreicated.

Ok chex system verified a item on my chex report. I used 2nd dispute letter asking for proof such as paperwork/signatures etc..all the good stuff to prove that the account is mine.. Chex sends me back a letter stating that I should contact the bank to get more info and proof.

Alright i got taken to court in september 2009 for a cardis credit card bill, for a $600.00 bed i bought back in about january 2004. My current balance was $1,300 from interest. Well i told them i could pay only 10 dollars a month considering i had a court order to pay $50 to a different collection agency. I paid october and there was no work for nov. And dec. Well they said they sent me notices in the mail when i talked to them the morning i woke up and my car had a boot on it at 6am. on may 19, 2010 and towed and seized by 8am.

I have been in debt consolidation for 15 months and have had several accounts settled. Now I have been served a summons, that was filed with the county clerks offices. Here is Idaho, what I do not understand is, this summons is from Capital one, they have already excepted settlements on two of my larger accounts,I had with them but now they are taking me to court. Can someone tell me why they would settle on two and not all three?

Have a debt. Want to pay, simply have not been able to afford the demands and or have had to stop communications with this people due to the aggressivness. This debt is now more than two years old. I now have a second firm starting the whole processes again, after about a year of some room to breath. I have not answered the calls, simple due to the fact that I dont have the energy to deal with them or for a lack of description, gun shy and have leaned that, you dont get any where by trying to reason with these collectors, so why talk. BUT IT IN WRITTING is a valid form of communication.
