I have had this "legal" company call me several times from both of these #480-422-0193 and 813-435-1963. The first round of calls they wouldn't give me any info on who I owed or how much. Just that I pay or I was going to sherrif was coming to my home the next day to arrest me for not paying (this time calling my place of employment). A few days ago I started getting the calls at home, cell, and to my mother. Only this time they said that I took out a loan thru Cashadvance USA for $300 a year ago.

These guys are ridiculous! I've sent out the cease and desist letters, but the calls never stop. I've complained to the BBB and the Oklahoma AG and they've responded in challenge to my claims. I've paid more than the principle to both of them, but they refuse to recognize this and want to use the Indian Reservation defense in saying that I waived my state's laws when I signed their contract. How do I beat these guys?

I sent off my "debt validation" letter back in April. After I sent that, I found a lawyer to represent me for free against the practices of the collection agency concerning methods and tactics used in trying to collect. He sent them a letter telling them not to contact me and they haven't. I have student loans currently in default (approx $11,000 total). I just began the consolidation process with the government last week. Allied Interstate is calling me at work, but I have yet to speak to them. Since I have caller ID and am the only one in my office, i just let them go to voice mail. My question is: is it worth answering their call and letting them know I've begun the consolidation process? Should I wait until I know for sure that I'll be paying the loans back under consolidation before I talk to Allied? Can they start wage garnishment before I'm consolidated?

I am furious right now. I took out a PDL from Payday Loan Yes for $350 - paid $315. After reading this forum, I went through the process of closing my account, sending letters to all the PDL lenders I had, etc. I told them I would be happy to pay the $35 I owe if they would send me a mailing address. Yeah, I just receive a phone call from some law firm stating that they had a file in my name, stating that I have 3 counts and that I owed Quick Cash Net for a payday loan that I received for 400.00. Well, I first I told the person that I could not understand what he was saying, and just like he was collecting information on me I was collecting information from him. He said that I to could go to jail for this, or go to court and pay over 5,000.00. Well, I told him, if this was true, why have I not received any correspondence about this? Just got a settlement (refund) offer from SSM/OSL Marketing. I have overpaid by $1000 and they offered $400. Should I play ball and reject it and see if they'll bite or just be glad I get something back and take it? I'm still waiting to see what United Cash Loans and East Side Lenders will do, I faxed them another letter demanding a refund today. If it wasn't for this website I think I would have been nuts by now. I was truly at the end of my rope and desperate and this has really empowered me! Thank you all!
