Hello everyone, I am just recently separated. Unfortunately, my credit is horrible and I am unable to keep up with the debt that I have collected over the years. When do you call it quits on trying to get a paid in full letter? I have sent letters to some. For quite a while I was recieving calls quite frequently. Now I am not getting so much but never did get paid in full letters. Do I keep bothering them, a part of me thinks that if I do that it gives them a reminder that I am there. Otherwise they would just leave me alone. What do I do?

If i'm summoned to court will debt counseling help?

I am currently in default on my student loans. During the time the process for wage garnishment had begun, my husband lost his job and with it more than 60% of our household income. He has not been able to find regular employment since. The collection agency continued to call after we entered garnishment wanting to put me on a payment plan to get out of default. I explained that at this time my wages were currently being docked and we are relying on family to pay our mortgage as we are unable to meet our monthly expenses on just my salary.

If a credit card company puts a charge off on your reprts and sells the it a CA do they still have the right to report it on your reports and how do you get them to remove it?
