I received a letter from RJM Acquisitions recently regarding a debt from 1997. I was going through a tough time then and forgot about it. Is this debt still valid? Can they report it on my credit report?

Does anyone know what it costs for debt settlement?

All: I found out yesterday that AMEX cancelled my account. I then received a voicemail from a rep at Zwicker, I assume regarding the AMEX debt. I plan on paying the full balance, but will not be able to do so for about 2 weeks.

I am lost, I need help, I have been reading all of the threads, I live in MN I have 5 payday loans, 2 are legal that I am working on setting up payment plans. I believe the other 3 are not legal: CMG Group LLc MyCashnow Cashdirect I read that these three also go by other names so I looked on Commerce website and didn't find either 3 licensed. CMG originally was $300.00 - I have had this loan for 6 mos, have been paying $90.00 every two weeks.

I am getting a call from North Eastern saying they are representing CashNet USA. They said they are taking me to court for $997.43 because of what they consider bad checks. I closed out my account 3 years ago because they had been paid over and over again. Can they sue me and garnish my checking account now? They are also saying they are going to press charges against me as a misdemeaner with Allegheny Court System. First of all this is a collection agency, so I know they can not sue me. I logged into Cashnetusa. It states my loan was sold to another company.

Hi all, I need some help. I received a summons on Tuesday from Foster & Garbus for about $1900. The date on it was April 21, 2010 but I received it on May 11, 2010. I called and found out it is for a credit card I had when married and when we divorced, the divorce decree showed this card was my ex-husbands responsibility. They say this doesn't matter and I have to pay. I called the county clerks office and their system was down so they couldn't verify that it is a real summons, but speculated that it was since it has the index number on there.

I am in debt ,most of all I want to clear up my bad credit can you help?

I have two store front payday loans and one internet payday loan. I also have three credit cards I am behind on. I am up to date on everything else. The payday loans are what are killing me to the tune of about $700 a month. Does anyone know of any companies that can help me with those? Thanks for your help.

I took out a pay day loan of 400.00 I didnt have the money to pay it on time the day I was going to go pay it they had already put my check through to the bank but I couldn't put back the money that I had because I needed to take out another loan to pay off all my bills. Now my check has bounced and I dont have the money to pay off the loan..These people are calling me and telling me I must get back to them in 24 hours. Im worried that they will try to put charges on me or do something more drastic. How do I go about paying them back or going on a payment plan??
