I took out a $1000 payday loan in Ohio. I lost my job and was unable to pay it back. The company is telling me they are going to prosecute me for check fraud. Am I in trouble?

i need help please. I got a pdl from that namakan place and they tried to debit 90.00 out of my account 3 times on two different days. i got an ACH 4 times for 30.00 and then they tried debiting 30.00 out of my account. how do i stop this? the loan was only for 200.00

What is the SOL on a situtation like this OF A COLLECTION AGENCY CALLING YOU ON A DEBT

Does anyone know of a good place to apply for a consolidation loan? I need $50,000 to get myself out of the hole. I do not own a home, so any refinancing loan is not going to work. Am I completely helpless?

I am thinking about filing Chapter 13. The only thing is my car is in may dad's name, well he cosigned with me. Do I have to include the car in the bankruptcy and will it hurt his credit. This is the only thing keeping me from doing it.

I made a lot of credit mistakes and I'm trying to get back on track. Unfortunately, I can't even tell what half of the collection items on my credit report are for. Can I send them a debt validation letter to request info about my debt, or is there another process. I WANT to pay my debt and I WANT to get my credit right, but I'm not sure how to start.

Anyone have any tips/suggestions on how to work an offer out with them? The debt is through Cap One, but PRA is the collection agency that is handling it. Thanks

Hi all, Thanks for all you guys advices and help on this forum. I finally got offere from Citi at 20%. I am almost 140days behind with $2,5000. I had offere letter and call them to make a payment arrangement. They can brake up 3 payment and I asked them official offere letter but they say they don't have the letter until I make all payment. They ask me to make a payment arrangement over the phone. Is it O.K. to keep offere letter and make a payment over the phone without something official letter? also make a payment over the phoine is O.K.

From a JDB suit against me, the evidence they had on the summons was an affidavit from someone from their company (not the OC) saying they had knowledge, etc. I did file a motion to strike the affidavit, but it will not even be read until we go to court. When I received my notice to go to court, there was a part about if I wanted to have a witness summoned to contact the clerk of the court. I called and was told that I would need to come down to fill out the paperwork and would need the name and address of the person.

Hi, Wondering if anyone knows out there how many time a Collection Agency can report a delinquent/collection account to the three main credit reporting bureaus? I have a couple accounts that show up twice (same company, same account info, same amounts) on my credit report for all three bureaus. Does it even matter? Does it really count as only 1 delinquent/collection account? Thanks.
