So I dispute a Bank with chex and ask for signatures bearing my name etc.. 2 banks are listed TAB and another bank.. TAB verified. Other bank they said it was verified but provided no paper work no nothing and I asked them for paperwork or DELETE it! Firing up the second letter now demanding deletion

We received a collection letter from Universal regarding an order that was never received. I contacted Breck via email and they told me to deal with Universal. I have not yet contacted them - has any one had any dealings with Universal through Breck Seed Company?

What is a recovery unit? Chase charged off 3 days ago, now it's in recovery unit what ever that is?Am I going to be sued by chase?

Chase settled with me I am 59 days late. I am waiting for the fax with the confirmation. They told me within 48 hours..so I am cautiously STOKED about this. They settled a 10,800 balance for $2,686.00..25% a little lower. It was so easy!!! I am thrilled. I have until May 13th to pay it. They offered to do over payments but I just want this to be done so I am paying it all at once. What do you all think..I hesitated to say anything until I got the fax so hopefully I am not jinxing this!!! :>

I received a settlement offer from a lawyer (slamowitz) today representing citibank. If I accept this offer, does it make a difference if I make the check out to the original creditor and not the lawyer (my preference)? They validated the debt and all that already. Also, this "check" wont be drawn on my primary bank account in case you're wondering. It will be a temporary bank account or cashier's check / money order.

I have been paying on a debt with MCM for about three years now. When I started, it was at about $21K, and now it is around $9K. When I got started with them, someone there who seemed "nice" told me that if I just add a few extra dollars onto the agreed upon amount every month ($300), that the debt won't be transferred to another department where they call and harass for full payment. Every month, I've made my payment, without fail, and have never been late, and they've pretty much left me alone and have just sent me a statement every month.

Can I be jailed if a company offered me a service of writing several postdated checks for furniture. all of which were cashed except for the last one bc of an on the job injury in which Ive been off work for for 4months. They are calling me saying im ignorant for writing the checks and that im a criminal and I will be prosecuted by the DA's ofc. Can they do this even if I tried to set up a payment plan with them but they refused it?
