I'm stressed out and need help right away! About a month ago I started getting calls from a 561 number then it was a 765 number and 206 etc....everytime a try and call the number(s) back I'm being told the numbers are invalid... next my friends (2 references I used for a payday loan back in 2007 or so are being harrassed 10+ times a day from somebody named Shawn- who is telling them I am going to be arrested for fraud...

I have no idea but, I received a call today from a debt collector Proffesioanl Finance Company and they said I took out a payday loan on 3/2008 and they filed two (2) civil judgments against me in court I have received nothing from the court but it is on the docket and when I asked them who BMG was and the amount of the loan and information about the company they would not tell me they just said information was filed with the court. I was told if I wanted to clear it up it would be 420.00 to be paid in 90.00 or approx. 1800.00 if I would end up taking it to court. Any suggestions ??????

I had a business 15 years ago in Europe and had to close it, with many debt. Too much money I couldn't pay back the bank. The same year, I did an import export internship to find a new job, that internship required me to go to a foreign country to learn the language. So i came here in USA, met my husband...didn't go back...got my green card...started over. 15 years later I receive a registered mail from a collection agency asking me to pay all my debts, that by now have interests and huge fees added to them, they are asking lot of money.

(I posted before, but it was *REALLY* long. Here are the highlights.) - I have a 17k balance with Discover. - I was put on their hardship program several months ago (5.9% for 12 mo), paid for 2 months but haven't paid anything for the past 3 months. (Going from my original dates, I would be about 240 days past due by now.) It hasn't charged off yet, but has to be close. - With help of family, I could probably make the payments or even settle if the deal was *really* good.

My husband received a loan from them in the beginning of Nov. '09. We have paid $1980.00 to them since 11/20/09 on a $600 loan. I found this forum a few weeks ago and have been trying to get him to read some of the messages to no avail. It seems like he would rather keep paying the money instead of "fighting" with them even though I have told him they are an illegal pdl in Alabama. I have 2 payday loans I obtained online. I have closed my bank account for some other non authorized transactions, but I am wondering what to do so that they do not harass my friends and family. When I was 17 my mom added me to her credit card to help build my credit. It was also because back then she paid for my gas and it was easier to pay for it that way. At the time she had good credit but now she has not paid the credit card payments in a long time and it's been closed and sent to Suttell and Hammer debt collectors. The problem is I was told I was removed from this card years ago and had no idea my name was still on the card.
