i asked pcs for a refund they said basically they dont give refunds because they dont guarantee loans but yet it cost 299.00 to apply

If CashNet USA is legal in Maryland don't they have to abide by Maryland laws concerning the interest fees?

In 2003 I took out two payday loans and at that time they had me write a post dated check for the payback. Well, I saw I was not going to have the money so I put "Stop Payment on the checks. This was in 2003. On Friday, April 9, 2010 I received a phone call from a guy that said he was from Income Receovery Systems and that I needed to pay back the amounts owed or they would file criminal charges. I told him I did not have the money. He said well the statute of limitation is about to run out and we have to either have the money or we will file charges on you.

I had a capital one account that I didn't pay... It went it to collections with Hyat Hyat and Landau (not the best people to work with)... Capital One is still reporting on my credit EVERY month like the debt is brand new saying I owe them over 7000 when my original debt was less then 3000. There has to be some law they are breaking by continue to misreport this debt as brand new and for an amount that isn't even close to the original. What can I do?

If I close or freeze my checking account that the PDLs are coming out of and open a new account at another bank, can the PDL get that new account information and start taking money out of it?

I think that Georgia doesn't make credit collectors have a license or have a bond. I've been trying to find out though if they don't have to have some kind of requirement, but have been unable to find out anything. I am preparing my answers/defenses to a summons and am also requesting production of documents. I don't guess I need to ask for verification of their licensing status do I? And I don't guess I need to point out that they don't have a license?

Hi, I sent out a debt verifcation letter to Northstar Location Services and got the following back from them: Just statements from my Bank of America credit card dated from Jan. 2009 It was an joint account with my late husband. I do not ever remember having this card. It could have been that my late husband put me on as an joint account holder. Northstar Location did not send me anything regarding an agreement they had with Bank Of America to collect on BoFA's behalf.
