i had a question about this collection agency. they keep calling even though i told them i'm not allowed to get calls at work. i told them i needed written verification and they said they would send it but i have yet to see anything. my question to you is since i owe them $3000 i can only afford to pay about $1000, because i've got other debts namely the IRS that i am currently paying ( along with other creditors). Do you think that they will accept this offer? How realistic is it that they will take me to court? What other options do i have?

I've been here before, but just more time has passed. Have $80k+ in unsecured and cc debt. Almost 2 yrs ago, I made the incredibly bad decision to not follow through with a settlement company and plan, and have basically not paid anyone for almost that whole time (couple of exceptions that I've got some ongoing pmt arrangements with). I couldn't keep up with pmts that long ago, and now am only on cash, and with the loss of my 2nd job, have even less to work with.

So I entered a debt management program to consolidate. The next month after the DMP took their payment, I was $200 short on my rent. I turned to my credit union and bank - both turned me down because of the DMP and FICO score decline.

Allegro Law made an automatic withdrawal from my bank acount on March 4, 2010 and has yet to disburse payments to my creditors. They are not answering their phones. Has anyone else had issues with Allegro Law?

In 1996 and 1997 I was represented on Criminal drug case in the State of Missouri on drug charges by the State Public Defenders Office. In April of 2010, I had Income Tax money intercepted by the State to pay the fees from 1996 and 1997. They have never tried to collect or mentioned this since my release in 2002. My question is are they bound by Statue of Limitation laws and what are those laws and and limitations for the State of Missouri?

I received a voicemail from a collection agency saying they needed some information from me to verify a check. I don't have any outstanding checks so I called back to see what was going on. The company is FFG & Associates or Frontier Financial Group. The woman who answered said I owe $488 for a payday loan from September 2008. I told her I don't know what she's talking about and I need to see something in writing. She asked for my email and I gave it to her. She sent me a letter from some law firm in Las Vegas saying I owe $488 to PDL Ventures for a payday loan in September 2008.

The CA asked me to mailed in the settled payment ($5000) before mailing the document, I refused, he then said if I have a fax number for him to fax the settlement letter? and he won't mail because the offer will expired when I received it. It is normal to receive the settlement letter by fax? Is the faxed letter of settlement valid? How did you deal with it in your case? Once I receive it what I should look for into it to know it is valid? Does it need to have a signature. Thank you very much
