After struggling for a year to stay afloat, my husband's company is closing. I have a Capital One bill for around $5,000 that is about to charge off at the end of the month. Capital One has quit calling and am now getting called from Global Credit. Can anyone give me any info. on them? Any chance of getting them to settle?

When you finish paying the judgement, whos responsibility it is to update the record with the CRAs. Also, is it not the responsibility of the judgement holder to issues the 'satisfaction of judgement' once it is paid? Or, would I have to request that to him in writing?

I was thinking of disputing these items on my credit report as I think that listing of medical bills on your report is a violation of HIPAA. Can I argue successfully on this line? Any advice?

I have 4 PDL's right now. I am more than willing to do payment plans for 3 out of the 4. Cashnet 500-Paid 0 Cashjar 300- Paid 100 Speedycash-300- Paid 0 OneClickCash-350- Will have paid 470 on Friday. The problem is, OCC is saying that I still owe 455, the 470 has not gone towards any of the loan. They said everything I've paid is loan fees. Do I close my bank account, and if so, how can I do that if I'm having other PDL's taken out? I'm having so much anxiety over these...

OK, I am the sole owner of both accounts with Capital One. They are about 120 days overdue and about to charge off. I'd been getting more calls from Capital One with area code 559 and even a 714 but they still lv messages to call the 18009556600. To date , it has been useless to discuss settlement with them although I did get one at about 35 percent but they wouldnt send me a letter of settlement. Instead the cap One rep told me to pay a disclosed amount and when the debt is paid in full then will I get a letter stating Settled.
