I received a summons from Suttell & Hammer for debt I owe Citibank.It states that a lawsuit has been started against me. I don't have a job right now but my wife does. Can they garnish my wife's wages instead? I am from wa.

Has anyone used this company? the person i am speaking to is at this number 1800-350-0188 ext 822 they say they are an attorney based debt settlment; they talk about validating the debt and so on. the company is just a refferal service for the attorney's they work for. how does all this sound to you people only thing i like is the monthly payment is exactly the same as everyone else available but they will go to court for me if i get sued; and all the reading i have done i may actually get sued if i do do this debt settlment thing. what do you recommend?

I got a v-mail from a Wells Fargo Home Mortgage representative. Apparently they want to offer me a no-cost refinance to lock my 5-year ARM into a new fixed rate loan. I can only presume this is at a lower rate than my current loan, but haven't talked to them yet to verify that. Is anyone else getting these calls? I'm a little surprised, because my credit is shot after I let another house foreclose and Wells owned the 1st and 2nd on that house (I settled the 2nd for about 17% of the balance).

Hello, I have just received a letter from Zwicker on business blue AX card 90 days behind. They want me to pay certain money with in 2 weeks and the pay up the rest of the balance monthly untill it is paid off and that will stop late charges and get account out the delinquency. But I can not pay. It also said that if I do not pay then I will be sued. I sent them debt verification letter and Arbitration letter already, would it stop the law suit? Should I be worried about any thing else since it is business card?

I was sued by Citibank and hired an attorney and the case was dismissed. Several months later, I get a letter from the Harris County Clerks Office in Houston, TX stating that a final default judgement had been awarded to Allen L. Adkins & Associates, P.C. What can I do now?

I have medical bills that go back to 2003 when I was taken to my local E.R unconscious to know anything then while I was in the hospital I was diagnose with en stage kidney failure at the time my benefits started but since then the hospital as well as the doctors have try to collect thru an agency on one of the accounts is going to be due on this may 2010 and the others are due on 02/11 should I contact them or should I just let them go. the fact that they didn't collect from my benefits from our state play any role in my case please help.

I was served with a summons last night, March 10,2011 from Suttell & Hammer. This is for debt I owe Citibank which I can no longer make monthly payments for because I do not have a job nor receiving unemployment checks. The summons was dated March 1, 2011. The man who served me did'nt ask me sign any paper.

I have 3 credit cards through Citi that I am hoping to negotiate a settlement. My question is: Do I group the three as one or work with them separately when working out a settlement?

My old landlord got a letter in the mail 2 months ago from 1000 cash overnight stating they were filing a judgement against me and I had to go to court. I got the letter a month after the court date! Are they even legal in California? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am 150 days late on my Chase card. I owe 9,600. We tried to settled from their initial 7,300 in 3 payments to 5,000 in lump sum. They sent me a fax with approved settlement for 5,000. It's already in Legal dept. The charge off is in 3 weeks. They do not go any lower. The settlement letter is not very clear to me. They say if it says settlement then I should not worry about it. It will be paid in full. This is what they sent: Please be advised that Chase will accept 5,000 to satisfy the indebtedness on the above account.
