I got a call for my daughter saying she took out loan for 850.00 in 2009. they say she didnt pay. now they say they are allowed to charge 711% intrest. has anyone ever hear of this. they now want 7062.64

if my loan is in default and they want to settle for $9100, but they want it in 10 days can i still consolidate, what are my options before they send it off to an attorney to garnish my wages

I have been served civil papers against a debt which was last paid on in 2006. It was originally a Citibank credit card, but now I am being sued by Cavalry Portfolio Services. Of course the amount of the debt is nearly doubled to what I was left owing in 2006. I was in an accident and ended up permanently disabled drawing only social security disability. I don't have a home anymore due to the circumstances nor do I have a car or anything of any value left. When I was injured I first tried to keep paying on my cards, but the money ran out and I couldn't pay anymore.

I received a call from Alliance Asset collecting on a PDL from Eastside Lenders. I live in Ohio and they are illegal in Ohio. I have sent letters to Eastside stating Ohio laws and naturally they say Ohio laws do not apply since it was online. I have paid the principal balance on this loan. I talk to Alliance Asset and they said the loan was from Eastside and I owed $650. I ask them to send a debt validation letter and said they sent it yesterday....well see if I actually get it. I know they have to validate the debt..but what exactly do they have to provide as far as documentation?

My Chase credit card account has been sold to Nationwide Credit, Inc. and do not want to deal with a collection agency on trying to get my account paid off, just Chase. Can I call Chase and see if this is possible?

I have been reading this forum for a few months, what a great site. I have three cc (Chase and BofA); 100+ days late on one and 45+ days late on two. I have spoken with ccc a few times explaining our hardship, but no settlement offers yet. Chase calls several times a day from various numbers and usually does not leave messages. I have read many different approaches on this forum: some say don't talk with the ccc until you are ready to settle, others say be polite and speak with them often.
