Here's a little info for those of you who are trying to reach a settlement with Chase USA or Financial Mngmt. A friend of mine just settled with Financial Asset Mngmt who was assigned to an account on behalf of Chase USA. They are rude, crude and know little or nothing about following the FDCPA guidelines (not that I expected they would). They have been calling day in and day out for the past few days, a few days before they were assigned to collect for Chase USA they started calling. They were told to send a letter of collection as required by the FDCPA, but, they never did.

it is a one page letter from them (them being Blatt hasenmiller leibsker & moore llc) law firm hired by LVNV it says reference # account number#(old cc number) Creditor: LVNV Funding,LLC Debtor:me! Just got a call from these guys. They say that they are recovering for Cash Transfer Centers. I did use them 3 years ago and they say that I have an outstanding loan. First, I am not going to pay 1300 to some company I do not know (NRS). Second, does anyone know anything about this company. How do I get rid of them. I cleared up all PDL's 2 years ago and I am just really mad that they keep rearing their ugly heads.

I can really use some guidance right away!! Here's my situation. Approx. four days ago, my vehicle was reposed. I was told by the people who took it that I had 15 days to work out an arraignment. If this is true, I am trying to do the right thing for myself, now and for my future. I was approx. three months behind on my car payments due to severe health problems of depression which I am still experiencing. I am concerned that if I am able to come up with the money that potentially I will fall behind again.

I currently have 14K with Chase, 6K with BofA and 13k with credit one (the biggest mistake was that took out a line of credit with them at 17.99%)...anyway that used to be almost 30k and i've lowered it. In general I havent been late on a payment, but paying all this is killing me. Anything I make goes straight there. I'm really trying, and its consumed me emotionally and physically. I have nothing saved. Problem is my job (contract) ends in a month. Can i call to settle without being late on payments?
