I am completely panicked about our stupid home loan modification that is supposively "going through" since August with Aurora Loan services. I have posted on this before. They told me the other day that they are required to give us a status update any day. We are really needing this to go through. I am however, worried about defaulting on our cards and then for whatever rhyme or reason they find out and it jeaopardizes them giving us the loan mod.

Has anyone ever recieved a 1099-c tax form in regard to a payday loan. I got one in the mail from ais. I trying to get in touch with someone there, but i think it's from me settling my loan with web payday. What do i need to do? Can a payday which is illegal in my state report this to the irs?

have been trying to settle with Citibank my self for 30% they will only do 45%. we owe approx 54,000. What got me started isI received a call from them about three weeks ago and it was the person on the phone who talked to me about settlement. He asked if I could come up with 30% I said it would be very hard but would be worth it for me to barrow from family to get out of this nightmare. He said I would would receive the settlment in a week.

I have approximatley 10 internet pdl and need help getting them legally paid off without paying them 3 times the principal????

I posted a while back that one of my pdl's was sent to a collection agency LRA. I told them that I would need the debt validated, also faxed and mailed them the letter requesting this. I have not heard anything from since then. What I'm wondering is what happens now? Don't they have something like 30 days to respond to me? If they haven't gotten back to me within this time frame do you think this means they couldn't validate the debt? and if that's the case does that mean that I don't owe anything? I received a civil action or complaint-suit on a contract, from the local deputy yesterday. I have 30 days to reply. It is for $1409.80, I don't have enough money to pay rent, utilities and child support, car is in the shop! Yes, I work, a whole 1/2 of my income goes to child support. So, now what do I do?
