Hey guys, Im a new user to the forums and Ive been getting ready to start my first round of validation. Im really confused on one subject though. Do I need to send the validation requests to the CA or the reporting agency. I have not added to my credit in 4 years. Ive been strictly cash only. For this reason I havent heard from any debt collectors in a long long time. I want to try and get these pulled off my report. I have the letters and my credit report but who do I need to send these letters to.

Hi all: How would I go about getting inquiries removed from my 3 credit reports? I bought a car recently and the dealership hit a few banks before I was approved.

I tried asking this question in the student loan area, but it was closed? What are some uncommon (or even common) ways of gettinging help to pay off student loans? I remember from the loan 'counseling' that my school gave me about doing volunteer work, and I have looked at various places for debt relief - and what of these 'scholarships for moms' ads I see on facebook? Are they legit (a google search didn't reveal much for me)? Thanks for your help and for this site!

how do i find out and ive never been to court for it

Hi, all. Yesterday we received a 60% settlement offer directly from AMEX. This was a corporate card where hubby was laid off and his company did not pay a dime on his expense report and since he was laid off we couldnt pay it earlier. it has been through a few collection agencies...when DH spoke with the collection agencies he told them both that it was an unpaid expense report and they said immediately said okay and told him they would stop calling and sending letters....and they did. So, we would like to pay it as we are trying to get a home loan.

I have a line of credit on my property which I want to list in my ch 13 filing. Can I do that?

Hmmm…well, I am embarrassed to confess that though I say big things about savings in this forum, my personal record with saving is horrible. I can hardly manage to set aside any amount from my pay. To be honest, I don’t lead an extravagant life but still find it hard to save. Can you tell me how much you guys save? And, how do you accomplish it?

How do you decide the right time to invest in stock market? Since the market is showing some improvement I was wondering whether it is the right time to take the risk. Do you expect the market to stay stable in the coming months?

I have a debt with Capital One around 8500.00. I've been doing Credit Counseling for almost a year and making 181.00/mo payments to them. They have said from the beginning that they won't accept the credit counseling program, but they have taken my payment every month. So, I received a letter via fed ex today (not certified or anything) saying that I could either pay the lump sum in the next 30 days, or their attorneys would be suing me. I'm confused. I thought if I was making regular payments (and they are percentage-wise equal to what I'm paying all my creditors), they couldn't sue me.
