I keep getting harassing letter from Zwicker and Associates concerning money owed to Discover Card. What should I do?

Now what! My wife had applied for four credit cards without me knowing about them. Now all of them have increased their minimum pay leaving us struggling to make ends meet. What can I do since we can't continue paying them?

I have racked up quite a substantial amount of debt in medical bills. I am getting treated for cancer for over a year now. I only make minimum income and can't pay down this huge debt. I was wondering if I'd qualify for a consolidation loan to payoff the bills. What are the requirements to qualify for a consolidation loan?

State: CA $60k on amex & couldn't make the payments as of 2007 (long story - personal card used for business. business went under after taking on bad "investors" & basically dismantled).. Zwicker sued me recently. They didn't serve me at all. Zwicker didn't show up to a conference set up by the judge & the case was immediately dismissed. I'd like to settle and get this over with. Tried to call AMEX - they said they "no longer have the account". Tried to call a number at Zwicker which is just a voicemail that asks for all sorts of account info and they will call back.

Hope yall won`t git mad at me being this is NOT the right forum for my problem, but, I don`t know where else to ask. I need to find a webside that can help me, it concerns co-signin a loan for someone (don`t ever do it), they didn`t pay the notes, I need to find out if I can do anything about it. i just received a court summons. they left it in my door while no one was home. its dated for December 9 and says i have to respond within 20 days yet i just received it yesterday Jan 30th. i heard i will now have a warrant for my arrest for not responding yet I did not receive the summons for 2 months after i was supposed to respond. is this true?

Wells Fargo has been of no real help with our recent loan modification. After being approved for a loan modification (took almost a year), our monthly mortgage amount we need to pay is over $100 more than we were paying before we applied for the modification (I know this sounds unbelievable, but it's true, I feel like going to camp out in front of the White House steps till Obabma comes to tell him how is Stimulus Package is working out, NOT!).

In 2007 I lost my job. At that time I was earning $150k/year as a mortgage lender. The only way I could survive was using credit cards. 1 year later I owed $130k on the cards and now had a job earning $45k. I couldn't make the payments and fell behind. A co-worker of mine recommended debt settlement. I had never heard of it. I started to research, found this site, researched some more. I learned that a lot of the companies promoting themselves are nothing but scam artists and rip offs.
