I just received a letter in the mail today from Litow Law Office. It starts "As you should already know, a judgement has been entered in this matter against you..." HUH? A judgement for WHAT? No sheriff has shown up at my house with any papers. They also sent a paper stating that I needed o fill out the "attached personal financial statement"....that's none of their business! I am enrolled in a debt consolidation program but they have not done what they promised. Can I switch companies or just start paying the credit card companies on my own again?

Hi I live in Minnesota, and had taken out a payday loan with Sagamore for $300.00, over the course of a few months I ended up paying them over $690.00. I found that they were not a licensed lender with Minnesota, and since I had over paid, I sent them a letter and an e-mail in November advising them they were lending illegally, revoked their ACH closed my account, so on and so forth. Never got a response from them. A few weeks ago I am contacted by HZB Financial who apparently bought the account from Sagamore in December.
