New Member/Long Time Reader -- Need Help with Plain Green and Western Sky

Greetings forum, I have been reading many of your posts for the past month and found them very helpful. For this, I thank you all. I have successfully placed ACH Stop Payments on many of my PayDay Loans and even settled on a couple of them. The issue is that I still have a couple of outstanding loans that I need your expertise on. If anyone can help me battle these following two loans, I would greatly appreciate it. I also would like to know what, if any impact any of the methods you suggest would have on my credit score. Also, I live in Illinois. 1.

Payday Max loans in Kansas

I have a few payday loans, but the one I am most concerned about to start with is Payday Max. I have checked the State of Kansas website and it does not look like they are licensed in Kansas. The last 2 loans I did with them were: on 2/8/13 borrowed $2440. Paid off on 4/29 - total payments $4032.19 Started new loan on 4/29 for $1778.99 I have made 2 payments totaling $1481.06 so far Still have a balance of $2962.12 So to me this suggests I am legally done with them and they actually owe me around $1300. Does that sound right?

letter demanding 100 pct in 10 days

I got a letter demanding payment or litegation for the second time from a creditor. I sent them 3 settlement offers for up to 50 percent, all rejected. Then sent in a payment of 179 to buy more time. They would not discuss setteling for less than 90 percent. I told them I did not have that and talk to them next month. The next person that called said they charge off after 180 days. I'm at 80 days after sending the payment. I settled with Citi, but had to wait until it went to collections for 41 percent. This last creditor is Key Bank.

Is it possible o dismiss the case before court hearing date?

I received a letter from a law firm in Millbrae (CA). The law firm informed me that I have been sued by a collection agency. I have not owned a card in the past 5 years. Moreover, I have not received any papers also. I did check the court website. I found that a case has really been filed against me. Is there any way to dismiss the case before the court hearing date? What about the SOL period? It should have expired by now. Right? I can’t afford to pay the fee charged by the law firm. I’m living on unemployment checks for the last 4 months.

How to determine the SOL period when the debt is not there on credit report

I have received a fantastic settlement offer from a collection agency based in Hollister. The problem is the account is not there on my credit report. I’m totally confused about the SOL period. How can I know about the SOL period on a debt, which is not there on my credit report?

How did the CA get the credit card details?

My friend had a surgery in a hospital recently. The total bill was $29,546. Her insurer covered 90 percent of the expenses. My friend did try to negotiate with the hospital, but they didn’t agree to forgive the remaining amount. In fact, the bill has been assigned to a collection agency in Carpinteria. The collection agency called my friend and asked her to pay the amount through her XXXX credit card. They told that she has XXX credit limit on the credit card. How did the CA get the credit card details? She has paid $500 till date to the collection agency.
