On 11/04/08 my wife and I entered into a debt settlement agreement with Four Peaks Financial Services of Scottsdale, Arizona. We fulfilled all of our responsibilities under the contract, including making all of our required payments to their 3rd party handling firm, Global Client Solutions. In February and May of 2009, settlement agreements were made with Chase on two accounts.

We are going to default on two B of A credit cards and one FIA credit card that B of A owns. Jan. 2010 will be the first missed payments. I would like to know if each card is handled separately by the bank when trying to collect; how long it takes to get a settlement offer, what can I expect in the way of phone calls. Debt is 42k. Cards have been closed for months. Long history with B of A, all good. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I live in California and have the following internet PDL's: UC Financial/Ez paydaycash 400 paid 360 owe 325 speedy cash 255 paid 300 payday loan yes 255 paid 300 loan shop 500 paid 300 FBD 600 paid 800 The problem I have is I closed my account and changed to a new account because they were withdrawing bi-weekly when I only authorized monthly due to me being paid only once a month. Somehow they found my new account and began withdrawls that weren't authorized and caused several NSF's. I contacted them to pay principal after closing account.

If they do contact you, say with a debt that is reflected on your credit report, can they still continue to charge you interest and legal fees til the debt is paid? and how do I know if the $$ I pay is even going to that debt if they send no proof of payment or validation of the debt other than what is showing on my credit report??

I have a delinquent cc, but also have a charge on it that I feel could be disputed; it is for services rendered that were never finalized (payment to an attorney for $4K). My concern is if I dispute this charge it may adversely affect me working with the OC on any type of settlement? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would it be advisable to talk with the OC about this issue or just let it go and concentrate on dealing with the OC on a settlement? Or maybe send the attorney a certified letter stating my requests; he has unanswered my vm and email.

I had a loan with JHS Marketing. I pd $90.00 on it and then had bank issues and closed my bank account. I called and emailed them that I needed to change my info so they could put my new bank info. No calls or emails back from them. Then a month later I got a call from The Law office of William Sokel. IU found no such place. I told them I would not be giving them any money because I could not find them as repretable. I called JHS. They said to email customerservice@icollect.net that is the only way to contact them and they will tell me how to pay back my loan. Did that no email back.

Have dealt with M/B for the last year. Have been paying them on a judgement (OC Discover) I have been following the latest on them at this forum. I called this morning to see if I could get through. The 800 # has been disconnected. I have decided to stop paying. I am in a non garnishment state. The have not reported on my credit report. Hoping they just crawled under a rock somewhere. Please anyone dealing with them keep us all updated on their activities.

I've sent this company many copies of my C&D letter, they sent me this email today. "We have been unable to contact you regarding the past due status of your loan. We will be reaching out to the references listed on your application as well as to neigbors living near your mailing address in order to locate you. We just need to communicate with you in order to schedule a payment." They can't do this can they? Isn't this againt the collection practices to contact my neighbors, I realize this is a scare tactic, but I want to repond with the correct siting of the law.

Has anyone got a cash call settlement offer. I have not heard from them in two years then all of a sudden I get an email with an offer. Not sure if I should take the offer or let them take me to small claims court.

I had a payday loan from Check N'Go in Indiana and was put on a payment plan for the final loan. I went to this place several times before and had always payed the amount in full on the due date. The last payment was for $100.00 dollars and I had to move and did not have the money to pay the last installment. This was six months ago, now this India guy, who I can barely understand, suddenly started callling me yesterday leaving very serious sounding messages.
