I have 45k in debt, both my wife and I took pay cuts, but she has very little debt, execpt for the mortgages, we have no joint accounts we have a rental house were she pays the mortgage to keep current because the tenant lost his job and pays about half until they cut their taxes back. I am wondering if they can try and get her to pay more towards the bills (electric,rent,insurance) so i have more money to pay them\????

I'm trying to get some information for a friend of mine. She and her spouse are considering divorce. They have several debts, he wants to keep the home, there is no equity in the home so she is considering the following compromise. He take ALL the debt and she sign over the house. He is filing bankruptcy anyhow so he would be debt free eventually. The problem; Some of the debts (credit cards turned over to collection agencies) are in her name only, however, he also used the credit cards during their marriage.

Just a rant. Do you guys find it annoying when you see that a guest has revived a 3 or 4 yr old thread with a response of; "thank you" or "good post", etc.? I don't know about you guys but I delete these posts, they serve no purpose other than reviving an OLD thread and pushing down new threads that need attention. What do you think?

I have a credit card with Capital One, balance $18K, stopped paying on it several months ago and it is now with an attorney's office. They are threatening to file a lawsuit so I am trying to negotiate a settlement. I have made multiple offers to settle the account between 50-60% all of which were refused and no counteroffer made, only payment in full immediately. So I tried to offer to pay the full balance over 2 years, which they also refused. So I am at a stuck point here. It looks like it will go to court. My question is, if it does, do I keep trying to negotiate a settlement?

I have 4 Payday Loans (all storefronts): Advance America - $587.50 Check Into Cash- $235 Express Check Advance- $587.50 Cash Express- $470 They were all due today (Dec 11) and I was not able to pay. I contacted the CFSA about the EPP option and the state of Alabama has this option for all lenders and I found the law stating so. 1. AA says they can, but they have to try and process the chk and it needs to be returned. 2. CIC- I haven't contacted them yet. I may pay the interested only of $35 if they let me and renew the loan. 3.

Now, I obtained a 600. online loan with PayDayOne (Out of Ft Worth TX) and was unable to pay by the due date and then took a second from CashnetUSA (Out of Chicago,IL) to try and pay the original PayDayOne loan. what is the best debt consolidation or debt settlement program

I have used both Ace Cash Services($300) & FastCash($400). Granted I don't think I approved the loans,because I backed out befor agreeing to terms,the money was still deposited in my checking account the next day. Now,4wks later,the $90 for ACS & $120 for FC,should be thru coming out if I understood everything rite,we'll see. Will get back & let yall know something next week weather or not I'm pulling what little bit of hair I have out or not..........................C Ray B................
