[COLOR=black]I have six payday loans in Texas. Some of these companies I have use on and off and paid off for the past six years. I have never defaulted on any of these loans, but I l have paid alot in fees. I am at the point where it has taken a toll myself and family. Each pay period I pay about $1200.00. I have read alot help information on this site. I would like to resolve this finical blunder I create for myself and my family. I am plan on closing our bank account and sent a letter to each of my intent to default.

Hi All, I finally got a live person today. Otherwise, I have been getting one-a-day automated calls from CollectCorp regarding my BofA CC. She quoted the amount that was at chargeoff. My account was charged off on Nov. 2nd. She started asking me some questions.. I was really vague with all of my answers. She wanted to know if there was anyone who I could ask about payment in full. Told her that I would ask and I know what the answer is. It is no one's business about my life. I am going to get sued anyway. One of the first things I asked was... Was there a letter sent to me?

Do any of the more seasoned members have a copy of a letter that they sent to a PDL disputing their interest charged as they are illegal in that state? I figured out this weekend that I paid over $1600 to Impact Cash for a $600 loan -- and I am in the process of pulling all the statements for a couple of others. I want to stop the ones that I have already made arrangements with so that I don't end up overpaying them as well otherwise I will never get out of this cycle of paying them off.

I posted something on here the other day about an agency called CDR and Associates. I have had a week full of drama dealing with them. I have done some of my own investigating. They claim they are not collectors and will give to another agent to sue. They are investigators. Look what I found ~ WOW same number they call from. I have a home equity loan in which I am paying 14% to Citifinancial. I know crazy. My credit has improved since I got the loan but I want to wait until it gets higher to refinanced. Is their anything I can do now to ask them to lower my interest until then?

I am back about two months on two Chase cards totaling $12,176 Do you guys think they will settle for 25-35%? Im thinking starting at 25% and going no more than 35%. They would have to agree to split it into 6 monthly payments. I can only give about $600 right now so hopefully they will consider that a down payment? They just called today and I mentioned for the first time that I was going to get a debt settlement company. The person on the phone immediately offered me a .55 cents on the dollar settlement offer, which is $6,696 payable in four payments.

I have a card that is deliquent for 30 days. has anyone had success calling up the hardship lines and settling for 1 lump sum.... i might come into some money shortly and would be willing to give it up in order to clean my credit/loan amount any suggestions..

I just received a collection notice from Anfi regarding an account from 2001. I havn't calledAnfi yet because I'm not sure how to respond if they try to scam me. Should I first call the original account holder, TDS Telecom?

I didn't know a site like this even existed until I was the target of a payday loan scam that sent me searching for information on the company I allededly owed money to. My search turned up a link to a comment made in one of the forums here, and the rest is history. My payday loan mistakes left me feeling helpless to stop whatever damage could happen to my bank account and finances. When I came here, I couldn't (and still can't at times) pull myself away.

I tried searching here and on Bing (MSN's version of Google) and I'm coming up with nothing. Is this a real collection agency?
