Is there a problem if you want to close your bank account at Charter One?

A law firm sent me a letter last week on behalf of discover card last stating that I owe a certain amount. I sent a letter requesting validation and proof a debt has been assigned to them by discover. I sent the letter certified and received the return-receipt on saturday. Today, I received a another collection call from them regarding this. I would like to get this validation information from them first before I begin to work with them. Are they within their rights to keep calling me even though they havent responded with the information I need?

What is a reputable non-profit debt consolidation company I could go with to consolidate credit card debt

hi all i received a call from some woman named heather from one click cash. back in feb of 2008 i took out a loan with them for 200.00 with fees is comes to 260.00 after a time i hit a snag and had to close out my account. now she is calling me telling me that they are willing to offer a settlement of 145.00 and i could pay it with credit or debit.

Does anybody have an address for this group, everytime I call to get an address I get the runn around, I need to send a letter to them, they have called and threatened me with a summons, I have talked to a couple of people in their group let them know I need an address or they can send me the information I am looking for via email or regurlar mail and to date I have received nothing. So if anyone has an address I would appreciate you giving it to me. Thank you.

Juniper Biz offered me a 20% settlement on a 12500 debt. The were trying to contact me but I failed to respond. They did not send the offer in writing either. I contacted them and found that the offer had expired. I maid a new offer of 2000.00. The same as the original offer I received the 20% settlement counter offer from. I was stunned they had made a 20% offer.

I got the following email from oneclick. I am in NY. I had 3 prior loans which were paid in full. I overpayed $650 on the three. The open loan I have was for $450 of which I made $135 in payments. One Click Cash Recovery Department now holds account #6820381 which is in a collection status. According to our records, your outstanding balance is $585.00.

So, I'm very well aware that my financial situation is very bleak and it is due to my own irresponsibility and optimism of a lucrative career after college. Here it goes: -I have two CC's, one from Verity Credit Union ($8,000) and another from Bank of America ($11,000). -I have two seperate Sallie Mae loans that amount to $20k and $25k (this doesn't include interest and I have co-signers on both, but I have kept these debts current by paying the forbearance fees). -I have government student loans that amount to $18k.

If I am a cosigner on my ex-husband's student loan and he is not making payments, but I am....do I get credit for the interest I paid when tax time comes, or does he? My divorce docs state that I am to pay half of the consolidated federal loan since 1/3 of it was for my education but that he is responsible for all of the private loan. Since he is not making payments and the loans were about to default, I am making payments on both. The payments I am making towards his educational loans are roughly equal to the court ordered child support he is NOT paying me.
