I have an opportunity to pay off this 8K monkey on my back. Of course, it is in default as so many are. I am NOT the least interested in paying late fees or costs. Has anyone had any success with this DCS monster? TY -Bob

I am in Ohio and had a checking and savings with Telhio Credit Union. When I got into this mess with PDL's I closed my checking account. I also had outstanding debit card authorizations from worldwinner.com (yes I stupidly gambled in hopes of winning some money to pay the PDL's) and those debits have now been processed through my savings account. I spoke to the branch manager and she said if the debit Visa had authorzations then they (worldwinner) could force them through any account that was attached to the checking.

I would like to know if internet payday loans are illegal in SC - I have one that is based out of Costa Rica, and several in Delaware. I am behind and they are telling me that because I signed the agreement that I have to honor their state laws - not SC. Please advise.

I went to my bank today (Chase) I asked the manager if a hard block/deposit only can be put on my account... he stated that they don't have such thing... he stated that he can will but a restriction on my account... meaning that it will be open for 30 days and after the 30 my account will be closed! He stated that if something goes through it will be returned! My question is: will this stop all of my payday loans checks/ach debits from going through ? ? ? I just defaulted on all of my loans today, I decided to file for bankruptcy at the end of November...

I have two loans out right now. Check n go $540.42 and Checksmart $687.50. I am in Ohio. I didn't pay when they were due two weeks ago, they sent the checks to my bank and were sent back, and they offered to let me pay half this week and the rest next pay, but I cant even do that. I told them the best I can do is split it into 3-4 payments but they tell me they cant. I am more than willing to repay my loan but cannot do it all at once, or even half to both companies at once. I am more than willing, and could afford to pay them bi weekly and pay off in four payments.

I have some debt issues and I'm practically to the point of a bankruptcy. I set up an appointment with a bankruptcy lawyer just to talk about my credit and weigh my options. He pretty much steered me towards a bankruptcy but I had it in the bank of my mind that it might not be my only option but it was the only way he was going to get money out of me. Anyway, I wanted to know exactly how much the bankruptcy was going to cost me so he had me fill out the paperwork and give him all of my information (1040's, pay stubs, assets, etc).
