B of A Charge Off

16 years 8 months ago
Does anyone know when B of A charges off accounts? Is it 120, 150?? I am trying to settle my B of A account but the rep told me since my account was only a year old that they most likely will not be willing to settle until right before charge off. Although, he would not tell me when that was. He did mention me keeping in touch and calling back every 3-4 weeks. After reviewing my credit report, he did not promise but seemed like they would be willing to settle, just have to wait a little bit.

Mann Bracken - Payment Plan?

16 years 8 months ago
I'm getting sued by Mann Bracken on behalf of Target. I have been tryign to set up reasonable payments with them (500 dollars a month for 10 months), but they are unwilling to do anything more then 3 months at this point. Does anyone have a success story with getting Mann Bracken to accept 'long term' paymnet plans? How did you go about getting them to agree?

Not sure what to do...

I received a letter from Cohen, Trauner & Thomas 2 months ago stating they represented CACH, LLC in regards to my Amex cards. I wrote to Cohen, asking to validate the debts. Sent cert/ret receipt and got the green cards back. They never sent me anything. Now, a month after I've received the cards back, CACH is on my credit owning this debt, yet I've not received any letter from CACH directly. I disputed the reporting on my credit reports whence Cohen did not validate. Experian updated the info with CACH now owning the debt, and didn't remove it. What do I do?

Lawsuit with Citibank

16 years 8 months ago
My account with Citibank has been delinquent since November 2008. They did offer to settle for 56% off the total balance ($3200) to be paid in full. I didn't have access to that kind of cash, and was working on a settlement with another company at the time. I am enrolled in a debt settlement program and have successfully settled 2 accounts (out of 6) in a year period. I discovered that I was being sued by Citibank when I had 2 visits over a 2 week period from someone that I assumed now was a process server at my home.

Wakefiled and Associates...?

16 years 8 months ago
Searched a recent phone call I got. Came from Wakefield and Associates of Colorado. Do NOT know reason for call, since they called in the middle of MY night. Normally, I can NOT accept phone calls between 8AM and 9PM. Unless I specifically have someone call me back, so I know to expect a call. So, naturally, I'm NOT gonna answer. And as usual, they knowingly and willingly failed to leave a message. Has anyone dealt with these people? People, a term probably used very lightly!

Extortion accusation

Don't know if anyone here is an interpreter of law or atleast more intelligent on the subject, than I - probably so..... I sent a written (email) response to intergrity advantage declining their "settlement offer" due to having had previous loans with them and paying a large amount of money in the past for interest on prevous loans. I can tell you that the past fees paid currently out weight the current $210 they are attempting to collect.

Anyone with actual experience defaulting on PA payday loan?

16 years 8 months ago
I guess I should start with the basics: I have one PDA loan -- paradisecaseadvance.com for $400, which I've already paid over that in interest alone. I've scoured the internet and talked to PA Banking Department, and have yet to figure out if this is a legitimate loan. One woman at Banking was brusque and pretty much said "tough luck." The man I talked to was much more interesting and said the loan wasn't legal, and that internet payday loans are exactly the business Pennsylvania is trying to drive from the commonwealth.
