I had a wage garnishment from the Gordon and Wong law firm in 2005 which they garnished my wages with a levy officer and now they are trying to re-attach my wages again with the same creditor...I have sent them the original wage garnishment papers from 2005 and the payment statement from the levy officers office and they wont return any of my phone calls.

Default student loans

16 years 9 months ago
A credit agency called me at work today and kept me on the phone for 45 minutes claiming that they were going to garnish my wages up to 15% for non-pain student loans. I told them that I could set up a payment plan and they agreed to it, but then the guy on the phone said "well sir, we need a valid checking account to set this up for you". I said, well unfortunately, I don't deal with banks, so I can absolutely make the payments, but it will have to be in the form of some sort of gift card or something, I can get an all access one and have a payment for you this friday (in 3 days).

I turned it over to a debt consolidation company. I just want to handle this and get it all behind me. How do i reply with an answer appropriately.

Where and with whom do you state that the statute of limitations has passed on an account? If a judgement has been granted, is it too late to use the statute of limitations rule? Thanks.

You don't let guests post links, or at least I can't figure out how to do it, but the Massachusetts Department of Banking just issued cease and desists to 95 internet lenders. You can find the press release on the Division of Banks website.
