I owe Bank of America about $22000.00 between 2 credit cards. I am barely able to make my monthly payments. I've contacted a credit settlement company (FIRE - Financial Independence & Resource Education, Inc.) I haven't agreed to anything with them yet. But I am just curious what my options may be. I don't have any lump sum to offer BoA. I am not behind on payments either. What would my best option be for helping clean this up and possibly without damaging my credit score. Thanks in advance for any help.

Several months ago, I took out loans for both fastmoney911 and upfront cash. Both were for 200.00. Since then, I've paid probably close to 1000.00 in fees. After reading many of the posts here, I decided to take the advice of the people who have gone through this and wrote both companies letters telling them that I revoke ACH and that I wanted a PIF letter. Fastmoney911 has zeroed my balance and closed my account.

I am going to court next week over a credit card debt that is being collected on by Sessoms & Rogers. I had 2 cards that defaulted and were purchased by Portfolio Recovery Associates. I was able to settle one debt in Dec 08 (handled by Phillips & Cohen) by working out a lump sum payment of 39.6% of the full amount they claimed I owed. I have been trying to settle with Sessoms & Rogers for 9 months now with the last offer being 43.22% of the amount they claim I owe them and they refuse to go lower then 90%. So, they are getting their day in court.

I received a letter yesterday from Alliance Asset Management, Inc. stating they are collection my payday loan and that I owe $534.00. Is this collection agency legal in Minnesota? and is GECC legal? From what I found GECC is a member of CFSA. Is it too late to contact GECC to ask for a repayment plan?

Hello all I am new but really in the need of assistance. I live in Arkansas and have five payday loans what can I do. I want to know if these companies are legit and what right do I have. Should I close my account and take it from there. The following companies I used are US Fast Cash, Panamcash.com, discountadvances.com, united cash loans,goodtimecash.

I just saw an article claiming that their is another credit reporting agency called Innovis. They don't seem to offer you a free copy of your report from them? Should I be concerned about them? Anyone with any experience where there report affected credit decisions?

I am currently in a debt management program with careone and have been making payments for a few months now and i'm looking for increase the amount that i'm going to be paying. My question is with my increase in payments am I better off spreading it around to each of the three cards i'm making payments to, or putting it all toward either my card with the lowest balance or to the one with the highest? out of those three options spreading it around, highest balance or lowest balance which would be my best bet?

What date do they use to figure the 180 day time frame from. Is it 180 days from date of last payment or 180 days from the statement due date that you didn't pay. For example, I paid on Jan 1, next payment was due Feb 1st and could not pay from that point on.

I have a 9k debt from arrow financial. I know about the debt, not going into it, i know it's valid, i am not responding to the letter to validate from Redline (who is collecting for arrow) because i want to get this over with. They called and said i had to put 1000 down and 250 a month which i don't have. all i can afford is 100 dollars a month and they did not accept that. They have not called since and i know this is probably going to court. I live in New Jersey now. two questions. I am paying off a car (financing) with Chase.

i'm looking into bk , i was just wondering about house , bought house almost 2 years ago , don't have any equity in house , do you think i will be able to keep house ? i'm current on payments the most we have been behind in the past was 30 days !
