If you request an extended payment plan does that stop all the ridiculous outragous fees being added on?

Harassing Calls from PDLs

16 years 9 months ago
First of all, I never gave them my home phone number; only my cell phone. A week ago my cell phone died. When I got the new one I changed my number, now I don't get calls from them. I've been called twice by Eastside Lenders at work, but I simply tell them that I cannot accept calls at work and to correspond with me by e-mail. Maybe, some of you who are being harassed can change your contact numbers? Just a suggestion.

Langhorne or Myself

16 years 9 months ago
I just got off the phone with my free consultation with Langhorne. I am so torn whether to go with them or just try to go it alone. I feel like such an idiot- when I first started with these loans- I only had a few and I told myself I could manage. Now it's spiralled out of control and their is no way I can pay even the fees all at one time. I am so ashamed of myself- I knew better- but I did it anyways. I won't dare list all the ones I have for fear of being judged- I already feel like a bad person, so I don't need anyone to tell me that I am.

Collections on my report since May but have not contacted me?

16 years 9 months ago
Hi All, I recently disputed something on my credit report from National Credit Adjusters with Experian since I didnt recognize it. The results came back that it is mine and that it is from another lender. Now that I know it is legit, I obvioulsy want to clear it up ASAP. The only thing is though that the report says they have been collecting since May, June & Aug 2009 - and I never heard from them once. Is this legit that they do this? Also, I am planning to pay this ASAP - but would it be in my best interest to do a pay to delete? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Wage Garnishment

16 years 9 months ago
I have wages garnished through Resurgence Financial. (yeah I know they are horrible). My problem is now that they are doing a wage garnishment, I am unable to afford my rent and have received an eviction notice. I have a newborn child as well and I am stuck on what to do and what my options are. I do not have family or friends that are able to loan me money, and my credit is obviously not good to take out a loan. Is there anything I can do to not have them take money out of my check or at least have them lower it?

Please help, I'm confused about my settlement with Chase.

16 years 9 months ago
I last paid my account on 1/1/2009, next bill due 2/1 and I was unable to pay. In July, my dad loaned me money to settle the account in a lump sum payment. I paid the agreed upon amount on 7/20, which I figure was 169 days after the Feb. 1st due date that started my delinquency. Chase agreed in writing to report my account as "settled". Tonight, I am checking my credit reports and they say charge-off. However, under remarks they say settled for less than full amount. The balance shows as $0. Is this the way it should show if I settled & paid before 180 days?

:o   I wrote them a certified letter and told them to stop. If they call again, I am taking a picture of the caller ID.

Can Chase report my settlement as a collection?

16 years 9 months ago
I settled with Chase before my account was charged off. I have a letter from them stating that my account will be reported as "settled for less than full balance." Today, I check my Truecredit.com report and it reads as follows: Under Pay Status on Trans Union it reads: Collection/Chargeoff Then under remarks it says: Payment after charge off/collection Settled - less than full balance My account had not been charged off yet, so shouldn't it read as settled under Pay Status?

Ethical Asset Management

I have been talking to these people in regards to a CashNetUsa loan I took out a few years ago and since CashNetUsa is a legal pdl company I know I have ot pay all the fees. My question is though if I send a money gram to them how do I know it is really going towards my cashnetusa balance? I have heard that there has been some fraud issues with cashnetusa.
