Hi - I first posted this under the 'Sticky' named Payday Loan Help, where it told me what info to provide, but I am not sure that was the correct way to do it. So, trying again, just in case: Hi - I am new to this website and forum, I found it as I was searching for 'payday loan help' because that is what I need. I filled out an online free quote/application with PDL Assistance, and they called almost immediately, though I had begun reading some of the posts here and decided I wanted to see what advice and help you can offer.

I have been told that an Alias Summons from a law firm representing Capital One Bank was left for me at a previous address in Illinois. I have since moved to Pennsylvania. What will happen if the person who received the Alias Summons in my name returns it to the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois marked "Alias Not Served"?

Hi, this is my first post. I have followed discussions on this forum and the DIY advice, and have made some progress. My situation is a lot of unsecured debt, and husband has recently become disabled. Applied for SS disability, but that can take awhile. Have some money for lump sum settlements. I made good settlement with Chase (had 3 cards; one was an old WAMU). I have been very up front in terms of a very uncertain furture for my husband and a substantial drop in monthly income. However, Commerce Bank and BofA were quite stubborn.

I have a question regard to putting the hard debit block on my account, will this affect my getting direct deposit in this account will money still be able to go into the account? also what would i have to tell the bank to have the block put on

I have the following loans: MyCashNow One Click Cash Magnum National PayDay Loan MyNextDayCash Are these companies known for calling people at work? Incessantly? Regardless of requests to desist? I work in a field where it would NOT be appropriate for me to receive such calls at work. I can't exactly afford for my personal business to be company business and for me to lose my job. Has anyone had experiences with these companies? this is the ONE thing keeping me from closing my account and sending the letters.... :cry:

I went to UC Santa Barbara in '92-' 93 and got financial aid and student loans. I paid the student loan off. It's now 2009 and I have a CA calling me for $1500 tuition.This is the 1st I heard of this debt and I think it could be a scam.Can they do this to me?If I really do owe this debt who can I talk to to find out if it's real, the college? I thought there's a time limit on collecting old debts

I am currently fighting with BofA. I closed my checking account in May and in July there was a charge that went through on a card, that I did not authorize. I was charged an NSF fee and then five days later charged another NSF fee. The day after I got the notice in the mail I went to the branch and they had already tacked two charges on my account. They said that they charge another fee every five days but they don't send out the notice until the 5th day. How is that fair?

I received a letter from ARM trying to collect for a credit card I had a few years back. Well the balance of the credit card was $200 but they are trying to collect $500. What do I need to do? Do I have to pay $500? Do I need them to show me how it came out to be $500 owed?
