When looking to do the debt settlement on my own I understand I need to be late making payments right? Also - will any of the CC companies ask for income verification? On a balance sheet we have a lot more going out than coming in so we actually look insolvent. Maybe that is eough or do I need to worry about that? Do I tell them we are making the 40% of debt offer to all our debtors and we have limited cash so the first ones to take the deal get the cash? Is that helpful?

I have an old 105 dollar medical bill that I wasn't even aware of until I saw it on my credit report. It is from 2003. If I was to pay it now, would it remain as a negative on my report for 7 years from now? Should I just not pay it?

I was just told by a representative of Check 'n Go that Ohio does not allow EPPs. Is this true? The information I've found is conflicting. He said that Ohio allows for up to seven refinances. Unfortunately neither option apply to me. I was a Michigan resident when I obtained the loan and according to the representative Michigan offers neither option. My loan will be due in full on Friday, but the good news (haha) is that I can take a loan out on Friday and refinance in the future! Lucky me.

How do I find out if an internet payday loan can do business in my state (North Dakota).
