My husband is trying to increase his credit score. Righ tnow he can't even get approved for a CC. If he is put on as an authorized user onto our parents' CC (who have excellent credit), will that affect his report??

Back in 2006, I had paid 4 payments of interest to paydayservices.com (ie paydayyes.com) before closing my checking account. They sold my account to National Credit Adjusters before going out of business for being illegal. National Credit Adjusters who bought this **illegal** loan account is still trying to collect $820 from me. I have paid more than the original loan of $300 since paydayservices.com was not licensed to be charging me interest but NCA won't believe me and won't negotiate. Any options??? NCA tells me I'm full of BS and to pay my debts and hangs up on me.
i have a rental house with about 10000 in equity that i don't want and can't sell to begin with because of location ! should i let it forclourse before i file bankruptcy , I'm behind 2 months . I want to file because i have 80000 in cc debt.
I had a credit card opened in my name by my bank without my authorization. Then when i asked why and how they could do that , they said "we don't need wriiten(a signature) or recorded authorization to open a credit card" after they auto pre-approved me!?!FDIC regulates them and says they dont need a signature on an application or any recorded statement that I agree to open this card. I would think that would be a standard, fundamental rule for ANY issuer of a credit card, right?
I'm a college student and I don't work, I just go to school full time. I've sent the credit card company money every time I got paid while I was working. Now I have explained to them my situations and for some reasons National Enterprise Systems calls me all times of day and nights from numbers such as 1-555-5599 or some other number that I can't call back. They leave messages threatning to sue me and to take away everything I own.
A few years ago I borrowed a large sum of $ from a family member to payoff cc debt. A few months ago I used a balance transfer cc check to payoff the family loan. My spouse recently lost job and now we think we may have to file bankruptcy. Will the balance transfer done a few months ago affect our filing?
In 2003, I defaulted on a credit card with Chase Bank. Earlier this year, they charged off the debt and sold it to Asset Acceptance LLC. I ignored them, never called back, never wrote back for months. In June of this year, I received paperwork from them, stating they had field suit in civil court against me. I had done a lot of research, and stumbled upon the Statute of Limitations regarding Credit Card debt. In my state of Virginia, the SOL is 3 years for CC's.
I am a self employed business man. I have a a home with a mortgage and i have credit card debt. I have missed 2 payments with the mortgage and have gotten help and am on the obama 3 months forbidence(sp) my loan is currently being under review for modification. I owe about 25k in credit card debt. My credit score has went from 730 to 571 in 3 months. I am wondering if I stop paying my credit cards will it make my credit beyond more repairable ? I would settle with them down the road once the economy gets better but right now things are tough.
Hello all,I am from Texas and have a storefront PDL with Check N Go.The original loan was for $1,155.I have paid $520.00 in interest only.I still owe a total of $1,413($258 in interest included)583.57% interest.I want to ask the lender if I would possibly qualify for a EPP.Does anyone know if an EPP is approved it is only for the amount borrowed,in my case $1155 or will it be the $1413 with interest included.Also I have read threads where the store employees are not of help,does someone know the telephone number for Check N Go's corp. office?
I have purchased a hosting/domain package from 1&1 last year. They apparently bill half of the package every 6 months, so they billed my account last year and they have tried to bill it again this February. The transaction was refused by my bank (not sure if it was due to funds insufficiency or some other reason) but nevertheless I have never received any communication regading the payment issue. Up until today when I received two separate letters from NCO Financial Systems, collecting $42.89 on behalf of 1&1.
