If I consolidate 5 different student loans into one loan from a bank, will this help my credit score, and if so, how much and how quickly?

Here I go!!

I closed my bank account on Thursday of last week. I had payments that were to come out on Friday for 3 payday loans. I sent my letters by email on Friday. I asked for a refund or a paid in full statement because I have paid way over the amount borrowed. How long will it take for these payday loan lenders to start calling?

A couple questions: When you file a ch7 and include debt from chexsystems will that also be discharged? And how do you go about opening a bank account afterwards?

Online PDLs HELP! missouri...should I close my checking account?

16 years 10 months ago
Hi, my name is Candie. I have 2 online payday loans. One is from CashNetUSA, and the other is from PaydayOne. I live in the state of Missouri. I am on Social Security Disability. My SS Disability check is a total of 1116.00 per month. With all my bills...house payment, elec bill, groceries, etc. I fell short on paying my bills and had to turn to payday loans. I have been struggling terribly trying to make ends meet....between the 2 payday loans I owe 1088.00. $588.00 to payday one and 500.00 to CashNetUSA.

Attempting to negiotiate wage garnishment amount

16 years 10 months ago
I recently got served with a wage garnishment due to a medical bill. I was doing some research about ways to fight it, and saw that some attorneys will negiotiate the garnishment amount to something you can afford. It said to always get it in writing. What do you think of this letter? I was going to send it certified mail today. If they turn it down, I will file a motion to stay and use this as proof that I tried to negiotiae first: I basically say in the letter why I can't afford it (other medical bills, pending surgery, groceries etc.

Just starting

I am about 30,000 in c c debt with about 4 cards, 2 citi cards, 1 discover, 1 us bank. I am going to attack debt settlement by myself however I have no idea what to expect. I have already had a home go through foreclosure, but now my hours continue to get cut back and I cant pay my credit cards. I bring home about 670 a week (for now) but my rent is 1800 with a lease I am stuck in for another year and a half. Just looking for some one who has been in a similar situation, What should I expect? should I stop paying all my cards to save money to settle? Stop paying one at a time if I can?

Out of State Judgement /Wrong Name/Helper Responsible ?

16 years 10 months ago
Can a relative who helps a mentally ill person answer a summons be held responsible legally and financially for the disabled person ? Can they come after my assets ? Summary: Brother on SSDI permanently disabled with mental illness. He has no assets. Unmarked plain mailer with similar but mispelled name signed for by me (sister). Opened it,and trying to be nice, replied to the summons stating that you have the wrong person, he's never been in your state/county, perm mentally disabled, lost ID 2 years ago so possible ID theft, etc. (All true and not his debt).

Going to eliminate this debt for good....

16 years 10 months ago
Just getting started. I have at least $75K in unsecured debt. (Citicards, Chase, B of A, HFC, Best Buy, Amex one Credit Union loan) The recent mortgage meltdown got me in a bind with US Bank. It put me in a tailspin with my other creditors for the last two years. I have two good, secure incomes. After doing a little research, it seems as if I can do a lot better by settling these debts myself. Please provide advice on how to get started and move through the process effectively. Thanks!
