whats the best way to deal with HSBC TAXPAYER FINANC? I sent them a letter over 2 months ago asking for proof of account and i never got anything back from them.

I have 2 collections on my report showing that i owe $0.00 should i get these removed?

My student loans are in deferment. I can now afford to pay the monthly payment, but they can stay in deferment per the agreement for quite some time (I am in grad school). Will my credit score go up if I start making monthly payments, or will it stay the same as having the loans in deferment? Thank you!

i have recently been getting a charge on my credit card form UNIVERSAL ACCOUNT SERVIC 888-233-2302 every month. this started about a 2 months after i signed up for a dating service called great epectations in milwaukee,wi. i dont know what this service is. is it a det collection from great expectations or is it something else?

I live in Maryland and I have some loans with certain CSOs. They are legal in my state but all of them have different rules which makes me wonder....anybody knows where I can find something on the legal situation of a CSO? Are rollovers permitted and if so how many? CashNetUSA and CashCentral allow 4 rollovers for example while with CashPlus USA you can extend your loan forever. Anybody know anything abt this?

I received a letter from an attorney representing Unifund and they are trying to collect an old citibank credit card debt. The letter says that I have 30 days to dispute the validity of this debt or any portion of it. I am really scared and concerned and don't know what to do. How should I respond to the attorney? Unfortunately, I can't really afford to hire an attorney either. Can someone advise me in what I should do. I currently live in NY. I pulled this from my credit report.

I'm being sued for a credit card from 2005. I live in NC where there are no wage garnishments for credit debt, I don't work, and I don't have any assets (well I do have an old clunker worth about $500), or a bank account. Why are they going through the trouble of suing me? Is there something that they can do to me that I'm not aware of?

Hi everyone,this is my first time on this forum and have found some very informative advice but still haven't found a clear yes or no to my concern.I have a storefront PDL with Cash Advance I have made 3 payments of $200and still owe them $1000.

If a colection will not validate a debt and they attempt to sue for the debt and the OC after you have disputed the debt with them delete the debt. Is it wise to send that to the collection agency, since I am sure now they have no support from the OC and they won't validate the debt. Can you be sued for an account that has been removed by the OC and not reported anywhere?

anyone ever get a settlement with them and if so for how much? Thanks
