My husband has an account in collection. We saw it on his credit report and I called the collection company to see what it was. Wow was that a mistake. I called the original creditor (I was able to get that out of them) and worked out a payment arrangement with the OC. The OC can't pull the debt back from the CA. But I did send the CA a Cease & Desist letter (I based it on the one under do it yourself on this website) saying that I was choosing to work with the original creditor. I have paid a little over half the debt, and should have it all paid off by the end of July.

I sent an offer to a collecting agency with whom I had very good mail communication experience so far. I offered full payment of 505$ in return for deletion fo the debt from credit files. Now they ignore me, I know they had received the letter because I used certified mail rr. please advise thx!

can you add new medical bills to a existing chapter 13

my fiance is considering filing bankruptcy, [lot of cc with exwife, we almost lost the house at one point, etc] I know student loans dont factor in, but I know he probably owes about 10-20k in student loans, we need to go through his CR to add it all up. My quetion [or questions] How willing are they to set up payment plans for student loans? [sub and unsub] and is how long can he make payments before he can return to school? til they're completely paid off? please and thank you much!

Hi. I currently have 12 payday loans for various reasons of stupidity. I live in new jersey. The pdls I have loans out with are:mycashnow Discountadvances, eastsidelenders, cashinawink, 500fastcash, oneclickcash, kenwood, biggestcash, fastandreliablecash, flashloans, fastmoney911, sagamore. I have paid above and beyond the principle amount in interest fees on all the loans with the exception of 3. Please any help would be greatly apreciated. Are any of these companies legal in nj?

Does anyone know if a voluntary wage assignment has restrictions? I thinki I read somewhere that if you you work for the government (fed), state or a school district, your wages cannot be garnished. I know Texas does not allow wages to be garnished, but I had never heard of a voluntary wage assignment, and I think I signed one. I need help and would appreciate any information you can give me.

Unfortunately, I have not been the most responsible person when it comes to credit. I would like to get this taken care of and I would like to know how should I get started? Is there any examples of letters I can use to send to the companies I owe? Any information would be appreciated.
