Hello, out of curiosity, I ran a report for Chexsystems. I noticed that I did have reported informaiton! PNC reported me for overdrafts back in July 2007. This was when they refused to put my account on a hard block for payday loans :( they reported it as paid in October 2007. What's weird is that I noticed my most recent bank (a credit union) did an inquiry on my report about a month ago. And so far I still have my account. Are they over looking this report because it was paid? When will this report be taken off of chexsytems? Will it be July or October 2012?

Does anyone know if this company is legal in California, and if not is there anywhere on the web I can find which companies are illegal.

If online payday advances are illegal in Maryland, do they have a leg to stand on to collect from me if I have sent them a wage assessment revocation & ACH debit revocation? Can they sue me if payday advances aren't legal in my state? If they continue to call and harass me and I can prove I sent a cease & desist, how do it enforce it?

My husband started getting phone calls from an attorney's office that claims that he owes $3987 on a credit card. When we asked when the card was taken out, he said May 2001 and gave the address that the card was mailed to. He even said 3 total payments were made on the account and then nothing happened after that. We told him that my husband didn't live at the address at the time and that he couldn't have taken out the card. They were wanting to open a case, which would press charges on the person that took out the card.

I have 6 internet payday loans. Unfortunately, I didn't keep my original paperwork, so I don't know how much I've paid on principal and how much I've paid in fees, or how much I still owe on a couple of them. I've had so many I can't even recall which way is up and don't know how to reach some of these people other than fax. I live in Maryland, and it's my understanding that internet payday loans are not legal here. Does that make my contracts with them void altogether?

Ok the short version. HSBC has sued in local court in Md. It is small claims. I have been advised to file a response which is a Sworn Denial of Debt. I also sent requests for about 30 Admissions to the plaintiffs attny. I have been told I will lose in this court, and that the request for admissions is merely to get ammo for a suit in federal court where I can use the FDCPA. He claims that they will not go to federal court as it cost too much, and then I can force them to they vacate the judgment. The time frame for this would be 3-8 months. SO, does this make sense? anyone have any info on these companies? they will not leave me alone! i received an email from them stating they won't agree to pymt arrangements. they want payment in full!

I have been reading posts about consolidating pay day loans. What company would do this? Is this really a good option? I have 9 loans out right now totalling about 4,000. I need some advice! Thank you!
