I took out a loan with Cashbanc for $450.00. After finding this site, I learned that Cashbanc is illegal in my state. I sent Cashbanc e-mails and letters with the terms of my state and asked for a payment plan. I have never received a response from them. A couple of weeks ago I received a call from H&P Capitol collecting on this loan. Now the $450 has turned into $1015. Last week I was checking my credit report and noticed that National Credit Adjusters was on my credit report for the loan I took out with Cashbanc. I need to get this taken care of, but don't know who to contact.

Has anyone recently dealt with the agency DC Capital, and how can I find out if they are licensed in the State of PA to collect on a very old pay-day loan? The loan was for $400 back in December 2007, apparently fees have increased it to $640, and I am being told they are going to place a civil and criminal lawsuit against me. After several harassing phone calls, and 1 last call from someone impersonating an "investigator", I freaked out and made a payment of $300.

We have a BOA card with a 22K balance, 3.9% rate, never been late, making only the min. payment of $280 each month. Have a Chase CC with a 13K balance, rate increasing to 15% in July, making min. payment of $250 each month (this minimum payment will most likely go up I afraid) My monthly income varies month to month and is less this year to date, (I am commission only advertising sales) my husbands income is steady and with a secure job. We use the cards to bridge the gap between monthly income and household expenses.

What would it take to consolidate about 7500 worth of debt between 5 credit cards. I know im not DEEP in debt as I make decent money where i work. It just that i have not so good or fair/bad credit. I got the debt while in the military and my credit report is fudged due to the military asking back for pay they claim i didnt deserve and i fought it while it was on my credit report now we've settled but the chargeoff is on my CBR. In my position what should i do? any places gonna give a guy in the low low low 600s maybe high 500 a loan for that much?

:cry: My husband and i are currently in a chapter 7 bk, our meeting of creditors is 6/19/2009. We have a mortgage with Wells Fargo. We got behind in March 2009 and did not realize it until later, when we made our April pmt it went for March, when we made Mays it went for April and then we made a pmt on 6/12/2009 that was May's payment, we then made another payment today 6/16/2009 for June along with all late fees included, that makes us current until 7/1/2009. These payments have not been applied to our account, When i check their website for our account it says the payments are UNAPPLIED.

i received a call from 866-847-4539 yesterday with no msg---then again today wth no msg---when i call the number a recording says you have reached the legal department of regent asset managemtn solutions then sayd if you would like to make a payment u can go to a website they list, or there is an option if u have recently been given a garnishment on ur payroll or bank account or u can hold for a rep....anyone know anything about this place....i have nt recieved any letters and have not heard of this comp b4 or been left a msg.....

Has anyone ever had sucess (especially recently) in getting a creditor to agree to completely delete a negative or settled account of your credit report? How about any similar reporting adjustments (ie removing lates, etc)?

I have been told by a couple of my creditors I am working out settlements with that 'their hands are tied because of the new FTC regulations', or that they can't offer a lower settlement because of the FTC, etc. Can someone please tell me where I can find more information on these regulatory changes? I have heard similar stories from BofA, Chase and Cap1. Thanks.
